Incredible that other fanbases said the Pats don't even need Antonio Brown early in the season

Other fanbases? The majority of everyone in this forum said we didn't need him. And they still believe that shìt!

Of all the core vets,McCourty probably had the best year(not including Gilmore in that group).
Could we do something crazy and trade Gilmore for draft assets I don't put anything past BB

Seemed pretty clear that he's given what he has. I wish him all the best in his retirement.

Doubt he’d be signed again, but wish him all the best. Great guy.

AB can’t be coached, he does whatever he wants. Unless you want him to run the locker room.
Yeah I was all on board of giving him another chance but the guy is a trainwreck.

Where's the people who said this team was going to Miami in February at?!

This team finished 4-5 down the stretch and had one of the worst offenses and quarterbacks in the league over that stretch. Also the defense consistently did not make stops when they needed to be good teams.

Next year's schedule is a killer as it looks now. Buffalo is a very good team, miami just embarrassed the pats on their home field and has 100M+ in cap space. The Pats are FAR behind Baltimore and Kansas City. Tennessee is better than NE.

This team, based on it's main competition is farther away from winning a SB than they are from going 8-8 or 7-9 next season.

If the Pats had played the NFC west or north they are likely 10-6 this season.

The Belichick/Brady aura is over - teams no longer step into Foxboro and Schitt their pants.

I think the Browns would tell Baker to go sightseeing in Bangkok or Rio for a year or two if Brady wanted to play for them. He would only be an upgrade of about a billion percent over Mr. Overrated.
Yeah but the rest of the Browns organization would still be an underperforming hot mess.

Mmm...nope.

Kraft’s fault for getting caught getting a * and thinking he received some sort of moral closure by cutting a guy for a text message and allegations, all to avoid media heat he got that reopened the news story on his own predicament.

Stop being stupid, if Brown, the amazing talent he is, was eligible to play, he would already be signed on another team. Dude is damaged goods

Sure, but that doesn't mean that they were crap all night. The OL did its job, though it was less effective with the run once the LB/FB went down.
Prior Patriot teams usually overcame those failures during a game. This team did not seem to be able to do so. The Harmon pick set them up - and they did nothing with it. They just did not seize opportunities in important games all year.

Came down to needing just one score in the second half and we couldn’t do it. Again a Edelman drop kills us.
Came down to gaining 1 yard if you really think about it.

Unfortunately, I was right at the time when I posted that failing to get a TD might end up costing us the game.

And all Kraft had to do was jerk off in his bathroom.

See how we can go in circles with this?

Point is, no one is perfect, especially in the NFL where murderers, abusers, drug addicts and rapists play weekly.

What exactly was gained by cutting one of the top wideouts in the league because he wasn’t a boy scout? Clearly nothing and a wild card loss....
The dude was going to be suspended by the league anyway so it's all moot

Go look at harry and sanu’s last 5 games and tell me what brady can do especially when his top target is getting doubled team. These guys can’t get separation. Never had a number 2 wideout to compliment Edelman.

The only one being stupid here is yourself.

If you don’t cut him, he’s eligible to play. It’s pretty simple to connect the dots. The NFL freezed him out once Kraft cut him. This isn’t rocket science to figure out. Even if he was suspended while on the roster, his suspension would’ve ended weeks ago.

You think the NFL’s “investigation” is legit? You seriously think if he was employed it would’ve taken four months to figure out? Again, take your advice and don’t be stupid.

Teams make you pay if you don’t make them pay. It comes back to haunt you either way this defense did its job in the second half . I knew this team was done when they couldn’t take advantage of a turnover by tanny. Probably one of the worse patriots offenses that i can remember in awhile.

They didn't have the offensive talent to do it. Once teams figured out:

  • Dorsett takes time to get open, because he wins downfield, not at the line
  • Edelman is banged up and can't make as many plays right now
  • The other WRs can't get open on the outside
  • There's not a TE1, or blocking TE, on the roster
  • The running game is a shell of itself without Develin

everything became a tractor pull.

And as I said two posts earlier, so what? He would’ve returned from that suspension weeks ago.

So you're premise is the league wouldn't have suspended Brown as long as he was a patriot? Because they love helping them so much. I think the word stupid defines your theory

I couldn't see the league placing Brown on the exempt list if he weren't released to begin with. That would be an absurd precedent given the circumstances. The league seemingly issued a soft threat to GMs behind the scenes that they'll put him on the exempt list if he's signed.

Got burned for a memorable TD, with assistance from Gilmore.
HT had a solid year, also Collins.
