This game shouldn't have been as close as it was. I am truly amazed that they overturned the call at the end, though it was the CORRECT call. Especially as Corrente and his crew were so biased in favor of Pittsburgh most of the game with the exception of the DPI.. There were times in the first half that they favored the Steelers on calls.
- When they picked up the flag for illegal blocking downfield. #66 of Pittsburgh was 5 yards downfield before Ben threw the ball. Should have nullified the TD.
- When they didn't call the late hit on AluAlu hitting Brady.
- The extremely generous spot on the 9 yard Bell run that they made 10 yards
- The OPI on Bryant in the End Zone that prevented Gilmore from making a play on the ball.
The injury to Burkhead truly sucks. The Patriots declaring him out with a knee injury doesn't bode well for him for the rest of the season.
White is dinged up a bit and, for some reason, Brady hasn't been looking his way. White was WIDE open today on one 3rd and short play and Brady went to Gronk instead. Gronk made the catch, but it did leave me scratching my head about it.
WTF is wrong with Joe Thuney. He again gave up a sack to a bull rush while one on one in blocking. This is the 4th sack in 3 weeks.
Elandon Roberts continues to over-run plays and when he does, the team pays for it.
This was the first time that I know of that Bell got over 100 yards rushing that the Steelers lost. In fact, going into the play-offs, the only way to beat the Steelers was to keep Bell under 80 yards rushing.
Saw Matt Slater get a couple of reps on offense. Also saw Britt out there for a few. Had one reception. Wish they'd gotten him more involved..
