Official Post Game Thread- Pats with a crazy win against Pitt

This game is like the 2005 game. Pats looked at no point as winning but won in the end

This game shouldn't have been as close as it was. I am truly amazed that they overturned the call at the end, though it was the CORRECT call. Especially as Corrente and his crew were so biased in favor of Pittsburgh most of the game with the exception of the DPI.. There were times in the first half that they favored the Steelers on calls.
  • When they picked up the flag for illegal blocking downfield. #66 of Pittsburgh was 5 yards downfield before Ben threw the ball. Should have nullified the TD.
  • When they didn't call the late hit on AluAlu hitting Brady.
  • The extremely generous spot on the 9 yard Bell run that they made 10 yards
  • The OPI on Bryant in the End Zone that prevented Gilmore from making a play on the ball.

The injury to Burkhead truly sucks. The Patriots declaring him out with a knee injury doesn't bode well for him for the rest of the season.

White is dinged up a bit and, for some reason, Brady hasn't been looking his way. White was WIDE open today on one 3rd and short play and Brady went to Gronk instead. Gronk made the catch, but it did leave me scratching my head about it.

WTF is wrong with Joe Thuney. He again gave up a sack to a bull rush while one on one in blocking. This is the 4th sack in 3 weeks.

Elandon Roberts continues to over-run plays and when he does, the team pays for it.

This was the first time that I know of that Bell got over 100 yards rushing that the Steelers lost. In fact, going into the play-offs, the only way to beat the Steelers was to keep Bell under 80 yards rushing.

Saw Matt Slater get a couple of reps on offense. Also saw Britt out there for a few. Had one reception. Wish they'd gotten him more involved..

It was the right call....no catch. the ball moved and the ground secured it back to his grasp...obvious overturn really.

Ben...don't be the hero....are any of us surprised. There was way too much traffic in there.

Gronk was seriously pissed at the media this week and his post game tone reflected that.

The TB12 diet I working for Gronk, more nimble and faster.

Can you believe this team...I mean, they had no business winning that game.

That D needs a lot more work, and that offensive line???.....I mean really.

What a great gam for NE fans....

Defense was absolutely terrible in that game but came through when they needed to. They need Van Noy back badly and they need Flowers to get healthy. Offense was good when they adjusted but the pass protection up the A and B gaps needs to be tightened up. Gilmore and Thuney, in particular, had awful games. Gronk was a man amongst boys.

Our front 7 is just a mess and will continuously make our secondary look bad. Rowe might have been the worst DB on the field except for taking out AB and then his role in the INT at the end of the game.

I don't get what people want Gilmore to do on both big receptions against Bryant. The first one was just a great play where Bryant stretched out and caught it falling to the ground. The second would have been DPI if he fought through Bryant's outstretched hand.
