Defense was spectacular. Offense was mediocre. Special teams stunk. 3-0 is 3-0. Lots of room for improvement.

Today's game felt dull for the players. In the Miami game, there was the exorcising of demons that kept everyone locked in. Today, on the other hand, felt like everyone in the second half was going through the motions on offense and special teams. Not coincidentally, that fog in the second half also coincided with the mistakes by the rookies.

All in all, I'm glad we had some of those mistakes this week. If we won 30-0, the young players would be far too over-confident heading into Buffalo. We should win that game if we play Patriot football, but we can't overlook a 3-0 division rival on the road. I hope all the rookies and other young players take note of how to improve and lock in for the second major test of the year (the Steelers' game being the first test).

Bennett has had a limited role thus far and hasn’t had a big impact while he’s been out there on the field.

Certainly hasn’t performed as well as Flowers did during his time here.

What things will look like at the end of the season remains to be seen.

It's tough to judge Bennett this early in the year. He's still figuring out the system and has made some plays.

I only tacked on a “disagree” to join the club. Lol. However, I’m not getting where you’re coming from with this. Bennett has played just fine this year and he’s on pace for 10 sacks. In addition, there are a lot more players that can get to the QB.

It's always nice to beat the Jets. The defense continues to be stellar.

Gost continues to struggle which has turned into an issue. The fumble on special teams was bad but it really didn't affect anything besides the point spread if that's what you had.

The wide receivers a are a concern as well. Patriots releasing Brown was a huge loss. Edelman appears to be injured and Gordon got banged up a bit as well. After those it's Dorsett and a bunch of no-name receivers.

And now he's back to missing XPs. Of all the NFL kickers, except Vinatieri, he's missed the most XPs this year. These are not difficult kicks for an NFL kicker, particularly for an elite one like him.
