I don't disagree at all, but understand you're going to give up in the passing game with such an alignment with Godchaux at DE for significant snaps (best run stuffers are usually not as talented in the pass rush) and it's likely going to take a very high pick to get a true NT that can stay on the field all downs.Flank Godchaux and Barmore around a powerhouse middle guy, and everything changes. (Jordan Davis...Jordan Davis...Jordan Davis...)
That's the issue with the majority of NFL teams' offenses NOT looking like TN and IND (and even the Pats) - in building the Patriots defensively there's trade offs on the roster to construct a defense that is flexible, but not "over built" toward stopping a particular type of offense.
That's why the "big nickel" - otherwise these teams with 3 good WRs or multiple good TEs will feast in the passing attack conversely.
If there's a true 3 down NT available (i.e. free agent or draft) that's affordable (not taking significant assets to get whether $$$ or other picks) sure - go grab him as that's a need.
(as is a replacement MLB for High...a potential replacement for or big $ signing of JC Jackson...a potential replacement for McCourty...etc, etc - it's not like there's just no other decisions to consider)
