This offensive line is disturbing to watch. This is worse than the 2000 OL. There are leaks everywhere. There was one play you could see Henry cleared a LB and was wide open in the middle of the field, but Mac quickly dumped it off to a RB. It’s gotten to a point where Mac throws immediately to the first guy he sees open the OL is that bad. And he still gets hit.
I would love to see what would have happened if Brady and Jones traded offensive personnel. I would love to see how Jones could play with top flight WRs and a very good o-line while I would like to see how bad the Pats' o-line is and where the receivers are with Brady at the helm.
Rob what you said over and over again was that the Bucs couldn't run the ball. You said they were dead last in running offense and it wasn't just because they were choosing to pass instead.
When Ice and I pointed out they had the same offense as last year and they were more than capable of running, you doubled down. Stop trying to claim credit for your atrocious take.
I even asked how we would feel watching Bucs run it down our throat instead of watching Brady dinking and dunking his way down the field. As I assumed then, I was not happy watching it.

Bra just shut up you won’t find yourself in these fights.
just shut up. You sound like a clown.
go play madden. Matter a fact...go play nfl 2k5. You can cycle thru all the lil qbs and all the big name wrs you’d talk **** about if they came here. You’ll be at home.

So they ran the ball against a bad run defense who was giving them the run. Proof they are good running team?
And the Bucs didn't run it down the Pats' throats. They averaged 4 YPC on 30 carries. You take away the 21 yard run by Fournette on a drive the Bucs ended up punting and he got 70 yards on 19 carries.
And I said from the start that the Pats would let them run against them. That was part of the strategy. I don't their running game was effective enough. Hence the 19 point score.
At some point BB has to let Stevenson play. He's the reason why Sony was traded. I can't imagine BB thinking after trading Sony that Bolden was going to be taking as many snaps on offense like he has.
The OL is keeping this team from being above average. They can reasonably score 23-25 PPG & allow 17-19 PPG with better OL play. Hopefully it won't be too late before they turn it around
Sorry for my ignorance here, trying to learn a bit more. One thing I wonder - we know the QB sets the protection here (as Cam so eloquently pointed out on his podcast….). I’m curious if any of these o-line issues ultimately stem from Jones calling the wrong protections since he’s a rookie and still learning the playbook, versus just the line itself not executing? I figure it’s very little, since Cam clearly had problems with this last year yet the line was fine. But I figured I’d throw that out there for discussion.
Yeah, that’s definitely a fair point. I’d like to see if this still continues when the OL is fully healthy. Then, we’ll have a clearer scope. Right now, he may be setting the right/wrong protections, but the lack of talent is so glaring that it may not make much of a difference. Durant/Herron (& at times Wynn) are getting their lunch/lunch money taken.
Take away their biggest run though!? NoW LoOk AT ThEiR yPc? (But I ignored your exact point that their outlier lack of longer runs led to a low YPC coming in due to small sample size.)
BuT tHaT’s CuZ ThA GaMePlAn aNd DeFeNse (but the first three gsmes had nothing to do with the gameplan/defense)
Every point you made to defend your ridiculous position, you now attack the other way. That’s always been your thing.
Keep the biggest run. I was just pointing out that his numbers were skewed by one big run at the beginning of the game which turned into no points. They didn't run it down it down the Patriots' throats. They ran a lot, but they weren't all that effect at it.
As Bruschi said this week, the Pats would use the Peyton Manning playbook where Belichick would give the offense the running game and it would only stall the offense but give them a lot yards. He said Manning fell for it for years. The Bucs fell for it last night.
I said their running game was not good and the Bucs wouldn't run it down the Patriots' throats. They didn't. They ran a lot. They had some good runs. But they didn't totally put the defense on their heels or make it so the Pats couldn't stop them.
Nah the formula always been there I don't know much about Xs and Os but if you can have a great coverage scheme you can slow him down. He did move up and down the field against us but our Redzone D was exceptional yesterday
