So you honestly think that Hurts would’ve performed better in last years SB?
I am not absolving Maye of blame. He had a rough playoffs, and a very rough SB, but to pretend his situation was good is pretty blind. The Oline was nothing short of horrific in the SB. No QB would’ve won that game for us. Not Mahomes, not Montana, not Brady!

100% I think Jared Wilson was worse than T-Rex. We better hope will he's not a turnstyle @ Center he was very weak @ Guard last year.

Of course it is, but there’s also historical proof of how elite QBs can greatly underperform under extreme duress.
Brady against the Giants, 14 pts…..way below that seasons average.
Mahomes 2 SB losses he was running for his life and the Chiefs got crushed.

I agree. As was already pointed out in this thread 'a first round draft pick' could mean Cole Strange, or it could mean Drake Maye. Just because a draft class is said to be weak doesn't mean you won't find a diamond in the rough. Just because a draft class is said to be strong doesn't mean you don't end up with a bust as your pick.

The only thing you do know for sure is you get five years of controlled salary, which IMO is a pretty valuable thing.

Whether AJB is worth more than that is, of course, something worthy of debate. Or at least it was, till the trade was called in to NFL HQ. Now AJB is a Patriot, so of course, LFG!

I live in Ontario Canada. I have access to NBC sports Boston so of course know that crew. Read all the major players online every day (NFLN, ESPN; CBS Sports…etc). I have seen links to quotes from Volin on this site, but have never seen him on TV, no idea who he is. I dispised Borges back in the day when I use to read the Hearld and the Globe (can’t remember which rag he wrote for).
Someone needs to punch Volin right in the mush.

Regular season - Jared Wilson was far worse than Campbell. Wilson always stuck out to me as a problem on drop backs.

Playoffs - they were equally bad, but Campbell stood out more because his injury severely limited him.

I think Wilson will have a short leash at C (at least he should). This is his chance to show 2025 was him just playing out of position and that it will be a night and day difference at his natural C position.
