Freeland scares me a little bit because he was handled by better competition at the post season all star games.

I never ever trust anything coming out BYU given the lack of competition on their schedule.

I know everyone makes a bowl but I think BYU played 10 bowl teams last year.
Oregon and Baylor were top 20 teams and Notre Dame, Arkansas, Boise, Liberty, East Carolina were not exactly push overs. Utah St, Wyoming and SMU also played in bowls.

I know everyone makes a bowl but I think BYU played 10 bowl teams last year.
Oregon and Baylor were top 20 teams and Notre Dame, Arkansas, Boise, Liberty, East Carolina were not exactly push overs. Utah St, Wyoming and SMU also played in bowls.

I'll give you Oregon, ND and Arkansas. I don't consider the rest to be a strong slate at all with the exception of Boise but even Boise never really plays anyone.

Regardless, Freeland struggled mightily in those practices against better competition.

Lots of good players listed here. I'm expecting a QB (we almost always take one in the mid rounds every few years to keep the pipeline going) and I'm definitely interested in Chase Brown at RB. I also wouldn't mind another big press corner, since I think it would give us a lot more versatility to rotate Gonzalaz to the best matchups (or even to play deep safety on occasion, where he can use his speed and instincts to break on the ball), and we already have a number of smaller, shifty types.

Obviously, though, OL is my top priority, assuming there's someone there who is an upgrade. Bodies at a position just for the sake of it doesn't help us any. The more likely move is trading some of our many picks for players or future draft picks.

We should clean up in the fourth round. I'll be disappointed if we don't come away with some solid contributors with four picks here. We've done a pretty good job of finding role players and good depth in the fourth, and I'd like to see that trend continue.

A decent amount of development OT are left. Hopefully they can grab one. Roschon Johnson would be a good fit as a rb in a committee.

11 picks today, but drafting 14 players is not going to happen.

It will be interesting to see what we are going to do.

I expected them to use a couple of the 4th’s to move up earlier in the draft.

Hopefully we can get a couple of offensive lineman. As much as we need receiver help, I actually hope we don’t draft WR at this point of the draft.

At this point of the draft, I prefer a trade at some point for an impact veteran receiver before the season starts.

We don’t need another Trey Nixon.

Really want them to draft like 4-5 offensive players but honestly the best value seems to still be on defense. Adebawore, Carter II, McGuire and brooks at edge. Ringo, Phillips, Rush and Trice at cb. Jammie Robinson, JL skinner and Chris Smith at safety. Ojomo and Roy at DT. Value wise Almost all those guys would be god picks in the 4th. I’m trying to mentally prepare myself in case they continue to lean defense heavy in the draft.

In terms of need they need developmental prospects at most offensive positions.

Holy **** Ringo is STILL on the board. That only shows how much the pre-draft gurus actually know. Some had him going bottom of the first, top of the 2nd. Ricks looked like another good prospect in the 3rd and HE's still there. So many guys going higher than expected, like the Michigan TE who was available in the 6th on so many PFN mocks

Give me Palmer, Kuntz Breland Luepke and Ringo off this list and you can stop picking

The 4th rounders will be on the 53 man roster, so it should follow they will be at positions with available spots on the 53.

As I see it, those would be a 5th WR, a 3rd TE, a 5th CB (3rd outside corner, 4th OT and or 5th G/C or best punter available (who can also handle kickoffs).

The 6th rounder and 7th rounders kept would be your developmental QB etc. as those players will usually make it to the practice squad.
