It is funny that people such as you viewed this defensive personnel as good enough to be 19-0 before the season and now 5 weeks into the season that same personnel is an issue. What is wrong with are personnel? Gilmore and Butler are top 15 CBs, McCourty is a top 5 SAF, Hightower is a top 10 LB, Flowers is a top 20 DL, and they have other solid players such as Chung, Brown, etc. so please explain to me where the personnel issues are.

To be fair anyone who was talking about 19-0 heading into the season was straight up delusional. I think the defensive issues are a combination of talent and communication and coaching, but there are talent issues and they were apparent before the season.

The crazy thing is, the area that I was most worried about was DE, which is where we might be the strongest.
