Is he wrong? So far all downfield passses albeit on a couple have been non competitive from a QB perspective. Lets see that change and then we can talk.
Agreed about downfield threat. The team idiotically released Josh Gordon and sanu is a finesse slot guy. We have no big physical downfield threats so I dont see that changing. The screens and fleaflickers are real plays that have to be executed and count. I disagree with the assessment that those types of plays are 'gimmicks' especially when they can be very effective effective.
