Pittsburgh just played a perfect first half. They had one more possession than the Pats, and we are only down one score.
I guess because Gonk was a jerk vs Buffalo, the league has decided to let anyone he goes against hold him with impunity. Pats need to get him in motion.
Gilmore is not a #1 corner.....hell he is probably not most teams second corner either.....this guy just is not worth that kind of money.....a younger Revis yes.....Gilmore....no
I don't mind receivers getting a little physical, but if Gronk isn't allowed, then Bryant shouldn't be allowed to stiff arm Gilmore and make a one handed td.
I don’t know why people are acting all surprised that our defense is struggling today. They are up against the BEST offense in the league that is full of playmakers and we know that our defense is pretty average especially with all the injuries. It’s our offense that needs to show up because their defense really isn’t that good. Hell, I can’t name a single star on their defense.
We need 7 after the half. I fear what will happen if we don't score here. This defense isn't stopping anything. They may have one stop in them all game if we are lucky.
It is interesting that Big Ben is going after our #1 corner and winning easily. 7-9 3rd downs? ouch. This offense needs more possession to work things out as well.
That's true. However, we also seem to be carrying ourselves in a negative, beleaguered way out of the gate that seems to say more about our mindset than anything about opponents.
For me, the biggest problem we're having is a lack of a hammer on defense. Hightower is the big play guy over there and with him out and Gilmore/Butler underachieving, we don't seem to have a playmaker. That ho-hum defense is keeping our offense off the field too long against good competition. And the result is that Brady and Co. can't get in rhythm.
