Losing contain on 3rd and long will infuriate Belichick. It's likely all they talked about and schemed for this week.
I can understand Josh going at Brady, the Sack or tackle he took was so unnecessary, guys were open, he was looking for a play he probably liked. He wants to go long and stop the little gains he is good at.
