In Miami, plus first game of extended pre-season.an obvious perfect storm, I'm not sure why I thought the Pats had a chance. Lucy with the football every year for me.
While I’m open to the likelihood NE has problems in terms of talent at too many spots, this half can be summed up on three plays :
*INT in the endzone
*fumble recovery
*4th and 7
Sure, good players make good plays and lesser players make fewer. But all of these plays are super frustrating and I’m not sure they are « all about talent ». That is what frustrates me.
Pats game is blocked out on Game Pass in the UK so I've been watching Redzone and the QB play has been horrible all over the league. Ints. fumbles and pick sixes galore, and that's just Joe Burrow. Last time I looked Jared Goff was 3/9 for 6 yards. Fields had thrown for 15 yards and a pick.
If the Patriots can pull their offense together a bit like they did early in the game, this isn‘t over. This whole game so far comes down to three plays (one should be ruled as a penalty and the other two were mental mistakes on the Patriots‘ part). Otherwise, I would argue the Patriots have been as good or better than the Dolphins.
Not saying the Pats can pull it together, but the Dolphins haven’t been dominating. They have been playing like a very beatable team.
