My feed is behind ya’ll. I apologize if this has been asked. Has the broadcast even mentioned that this is the Pats 1000th game played? I don’t recall them talking about it. You’d think it would be something big that they would talk up during a blowout like this.
That's a combination of other teams having an opening script and how we then adjust and respond to it. We typically don't tip our hands too much on the first drive.
Hard to believe that that the defense that gave up that "defenseless" first drive, was the same one that DOMINATED the Browns offense the rest of the half.. A good reminder that sometimes the defense gets caught off guard early and figure it out as the game goes on. Lets hope it continues
It's very simple. They fell behind early so had to abandon the run. Look at the same Patriot ILB who whiffs 4 different times on the Browns opening drive where Johnson is running all over the place.
