Game Day Thread Official Game Day Thread- Bengals @ Pats

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

They have been bend but don't break since 2000.

They have had the #1 defense in the league in that time period you're talking about.

The defense has actually been good for many of those years. Least points given up.
At least from 2000-2007 they could shut down or really contain elite offenses *but maybe I'm embellishing.

As where now it feels like against most elite QBs they get eaten up

Explain this to me:

#1. Dropped pass, no challenge. Ref saw the ball out

#2. Burrow deliberately threw the ball high through the end zone when being pressured. How is that not intentional?

Remember, the defense is down 2 corners.

But. 3rd and 17..no problem

Being down 12 is really 21 for our Offense the Krafts can't be happy no prime time games next year.

Who’s want to watch this team play? They’re laughably dull.

I’ve been saying in this league if you don’t have a top 10 QB you have nothing.
Cincy has top 10 QB top 5 wr another top 20 wr a capable o line.
Top 5 RB

It feels like Bill has also checked out. This is so un like him, it feels like I am watching an imposter right now. He never challenges anything, he allows his players to freelance and he isn't on the sideline shouting at his guys like he used to. No fire in him !

You'd think that the offense would start to get better. But it just gets worse

Do the Pats earn more in primetime? More from ticket sales or something?

Asiasi helping us while on Bengals.. what a player. The only one contributing from pats..
More like the only contribution he has ever made for us

CIN on pace for over 700(!) yds of offense. I suppose we could snuff that out by just giving them the ball on a short field.

Yes, since 2010 or so they've been this way. But having bad QBs in our division plus 2 or 3 mid QBs to beat up on helps boost the Pats defense and prevent them from driving up too much points

Belichick has always been about points over yards. And the team has had some excellent defenses. But there's no question that Brady being there made even the best of those defenses much better.
