I wonder if the Lions would be willing to trade LT Greg Robinson (#2 overall in 2014, Rams). He shouldn't cost much at all to obtain. Perhaps Scar could work his magic.

edit: He's a UFA.

I salute fans who are able to predict injuries and disease before a player is drafted. I don't criticize any pick because he later get injured or sick.

However, some criticized Garcia because he was too small to be a solid starting LT; THAT is another matter entirely.

He's 6ft6, 33 3/8 inch arm length.

I'm not going to comment on his weight after his illness

They haven't tendered him yet. He has a neck injury. Perhaps it's serious.

They had to have tendered him prior to the start of free agency..

He’s a free agent.

The media takes are great “Patriots should have just found a way to keep Solder.” Hire some of these geniuses to manage our cap.

Our difference is not the literal contracts; it is a matter of economic perspective. As of today, the team and, players, make decisions on NEW MONEY. A team does not cut or keep a player because of the bonus they paid 3 years ago. The question is what do I NOW have to pay to secure the services of the player.

The economic concept is called "sunk cost". We should NOT make decisions based on money long gone.

I'm not entirely certain that there's a disagreement here, however the post of mine that you responded to definitely wasn't clear or complete.

I'm advocating for an extension/restructure for Gronk that provides him with new guaranteed money, assuming that the lack thereof is the source of his current "unhappiness". Such an extension-restructure could also reduce his 018 and 2019 cap hits.

Gotta love the mediot narrative

Best Lineman? He was not the Pats best OL, i'd put Cannon, Mason and Andrews ahead of him and Thuney was pretty much on-par with him

Top slot guy? Did Edelman get cut, traded or retire? When Edelman is healthy him and Amendola split return duties but Edelman is easily the better PR.

Top CB? Anyone that watched last year saw that Gilmore is the best CB on the team.

"Top leading RB gone"- Aren't these words said like every 3 years , yet somehow RB keep getting plugged and played whether it be lead rushing back or dual purpose
Smith
Dillon
Maroney
Faulk
BJGE
Ridley
Woodhead
Vereen
Blount

I prefer the tweet narrative when they are handing out free picks next February.

Well the iggles are over the cap and have done a good job managing it. They likely will have to do some restructuring. Either way it looks like the pats will have to patch and glue some positions. Almost like a little rebuild at certain positions with brady playing his final year at any moment.

So in a dream scenario we could get Murphy Sue Preston Brown or Zach Brown.
I'm good with that

Have 2 3rd and 2 6th rd comp picks at the moment. Some NE UFAs with comp pick potential still out there.. An UFA pick up or two should be coming . while focus also remaining on SFAs..

Brady must be ****ing pissed right now, gone are his left tackle and favorite 3d down target in crunch time...
