Pats showed some interest in him last couple of yrs..

That’s just a weird signing if it happens. Seattle let’s their own defensive stars go to and clears cap space then brings in Suh?
I posted in the Suh thread, this is a perfect fit. Pete will look the other way and let him be dirty. Perfect landing spot for him... out of the AFC East.

And the Pats have Shelton for $2M in 2018, and around $9M total for two seasons if they pick up his 5th-year option.

Kind of a CAP killer Kontra?
Coming back from injury. Less worry than having McClellan on the field for his next concussion I suppose and that is scary.
We need new blood. Mychal Kendricks can be had for a pick. I am sure they can find Howie Rosen's phone number in Philly.
The Eagles also might have to dump Curry.

Jason La Canfora more recently reported
that there is some “real trade potential” with Curry given the lack of quality pass rush options in free agency and the 2018 NFL Draft.

He only had three sacks last year but was rotated. 9 Sacks in 2014 so he can so it.
Perhaps a trade for both? Eagles are desperate for CAP.

Not sure how you can say that yet since we don't know what Casillas' cap number is going to be. We do know, however, that he's an improvement over Flowers. Further, I'm not sure why you're complaining about Casillas and, in the very next sentence, advocating giving up draft capital for Kendricks on top of paying him $7.6M. As for Curry? He looked like he was toast.

Beau friggin Allen for $5 million a year.

Near JAG level players are getting $4-7 million per season (Taylor Gabriel & Ryan Grant’s contracts still make little sense to me).

I don’t think a middle class FA exists anymore for the Pats to be active in days 2-3 as they have been in years past.

I agree, they have to fill a large number of needs in their rebuild and Suh would handcuff that effort.

Seattle is stupid.

I agree with this completely. That’s the dynamic that’s screwing the good teams with less cap space.
