Chandler Jones shooting up draft boards, could be first DE off the board going as high as 12 to Seatle
Good. Drops a better player to us. Laughable if he gets drafted before Courtney Upshaw. I love to watch football. Not too big on watching young men lift weights and run 40 yard dashes with no pads.
^^^ FYI Jones had an awful 40 yard time. I never had watched him until I heard this and saw Mayock's top 100 list but youtube a couple of his games and it's impressive. Consistently generates pressure and plays with a great motor.
Not a rumor, and sorry if its old news, but I just found out that Chandler Jones is the brother of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. He's gotta be pretty athletic then. I wonder if he's as arrogant as his brother?
Saw someone of some repute on Twitter before (sorry I can't recall who) saying that Patriots had Chandler Jones in and really liked him and were interested in Nick Perry too. I'll try and dig it up.
I like Jones somewhat but he's probably going to be drafted way higher than he should (which should be the 2nd round IMO).
Not big into Perry. Seems like too much of a strength guy and a one-trick pony.
I will be very, very surprised if Belichick takes a DE/OLB conversion project early.
EDIT:It was Stacey Dales of NFL Network, as reported by Mike Loyko of nepatriotsdraft.com.
Great news for me. My top 2 OLB / DE choices heading into the draft.
