Larison's 25 yard kick return helps him make the team if he can do that on STs and be a sneaky deep receiver too

DeVito is growing too - his running ability allows him to come in for Maye if needed and still run a similar D - good move making him #2 on the depth chart. I'm fine if they only keep 2 QBs in order to keep another quality receiver.

That’s the first good deep ball by Devito all game.

If he had thrown that deep ball earlier to Williams to the sideline Williams would have almost 100 yards receiving and a TD on two catches.

Devito is no Drake.

No and I think they are specifically having him throw relatively short tonight - though his running ability bodes well for playing a similar O to Maye if he has to come in.

Honestly there is a competitive angle there - if you are in a situation where you're looking for a shorter punt anyway or don't need a lot of hang time, you can have your QB go out there as the punter. The other team will always need to play off a little bit because they'll be alert to the potential for a trick play. And the QB can watch for mistakes, mismatches, etc and check into a trick play or an offensive play.
