Dugger's salary is very hard to move. They will need to re-do it and eat some of that cash in order to facilitate a trade.

As for the other pieces, like backup linemen, they have to compete with all the other teams who have backup linemen for sale.
I do wonder if Dugger (even without the salary) is of much value to another team. I think teams are wondering if after his injury if he will be able to get back to his previous abilities. I think the Pats would facilitate a trade, but I'm wondering if there's no trade to be had.

Surprised. Romo was definitely the better kicker.
It did seem like that, but kickers do have about a 1/2 life of QB's when it comes to settling into their potential.
QB's take 3 years, kickers take 1.5 seasons to really solidify. I think in the long term, it's worth betting on the younger draft pick. Also because it's much easier to find a decent vet kicker at any point during a season, and Romo should be available.

Jacobs was so bad last year. That isn't a surprise.

His salary is nothing for a guy who can be a starting Strong Safety/Box Safety for a team. 9.75M is squat compared Bates, James, and Winfield.

Not only that, teams could easily re-do it with some void years.
There's a huge gap between someone like Bates and Kyle Dugger...

@manxman2601 @Family I think WR Jeremiah Webb is very Intriguing. I think he can play inside and out. He looks so much better than Polk and Baker.
Webb looked decent but they already have several guys in that mold - I'd rather use the spot on Jiles who is a different body type. If they have room for that many WRs on the PS, sure, but if they are tight on space I'd prioritize Jiles.

So as of right now it looks like the following 2025 rookies will be on the roster (S = starter, * = likely significant contributor):

1(4) OT Will Campbell (S)
2(38) RB Treveyon Henderson (*)
3(69) WR Kyle Williams (*)
3(95) IOL Jared Wilson (S)
4(106) S Craig Woodson (*)
4(137) DT Josh Farmer
5(145) EDGE Bradyn Swinson
6(182) K Andreas Borregales (S)
7(220) OT Marcus Bryant (borderline *)
7(251) LS Julian Ashby (S)
UDFA WR Efton Chism (*)
UDFA EDGE Elijah Ponder

Farmer and Swinson a bit underwhelming in TC given the expectations, Swinson not 100% secure and possibly fighting with Ponder for 1 roster spot. But overall, pretty "effing" good.

Training camp exposed just how bare the cupboard was. But the new guys offer some serious developmental talent.

I get it Ross: but Bigger don't always mean better. I like the way Webb moves he got spunk.

So long as Tavai is gone I could care less who make the roster. Not really but that dude needs to be punted out of Foxboro.
Based on Vrabel talking about him I think he will be on the 53
