We're gonna have to learn to Draft and Develop our Own.
I hope they're able to do that starting with this draft, because they haven't been able to do so in previous ones. Granted, Vrabel will hopefully see the WR position as worthy of investing more when it comes to drafting than Bill did.

Wolfie, Vrabs, old guy

Vrabel didn’t get Fries and now he’s Hangry.
The conversations with available players and teams haven’t been as good.
My man needs a Snickers.

Yep it’s out there as of before free agency yesterday morning.

Well first we have more than enough resources to address all. We don’t have to accept crappy G play to get a WR, we can afford both.
As is, a healthy Duggar and peppers as the safeties in a traditional nickel base with 3 corners and 2 safeties is better than what we have at G, Landry, White, Jennings as edge are better than what we have at G.
Lowe is better than what we have at G, but a weakness at LT is much more debilitating. Why would signing a G prevent us from addressing WR, of any of those spots?
It doesn't, but a) you don't know what this staff thinks about our existing 4 guards, unlike other areas of the team where there's no question; b) Guard is probably our 5th priority, and fans are a little more interested in priorities 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Flail away about guard, but at the end of the day there's a decent chance we stand pat because it was a coaching not a talent problem.

I agree Gambling on a Offensive Tackle in the Draft is still risky no guarantees. They do flame out quite a bit like WR's.
To add to your point, last year was supposed to be a very strong OT class. There were a few that played well as rookies, but several were not any better or slightly better than Lowe. Latham, Fahasnu, Fuaga, Mims, Guyton, Paul, Kingsley, Fisher. This forum would have gone crazy for any of those guys, but they were a toss up with 3rd year 5th rounder V Lowe.

This is strictly my opinion and not does not reflect the views of this administration of the forum.

BB did that with Rodney Harrison.

Worked out pretty well.
I love the fact that they had a plan with several baked in pivot points. I feel pretty certain that if Godwin agreed to come here that they would not have offered that much money to Davis or Milton Williams. I could be wrong but it just felt like they had a bucket of players they were willing to give certain money to regardless of position. I love the flexibility.

Savage is full of ****. Other sources are saying it was 20+.

All the other sources I saw were that the Patriots offered 20+ Million more on the contract, not what they actually offered.

How about signing Kyle Juszczyk at FB and Nick Chubb at RB? If you're gonna be weak at WR, may as well be strong at TE and RB
IF they have an elite weapon on offense, then the defense has to focus on that. An elite TE/RB makes the existing WRs better. More than one way to skin a cat, regardless of what the fantasy football GMs here think.

Yep. Mack Hollins is a very good run blocker as well. I could see them pivoting that way a bit.

I'm kinda disappointed in day 2 of the tamper period. Not just the Pats. There is next to no deals going on. I wonder if the league will wait for the real free agency to make anymore moves (after 4PM tomorrow).

I like the idea of a solid FB. But if Shanahan is letting Juszczyk go, then he's probably cooked. I'd rather draft the DL who can play FB or Center Willie Lampkins in the later rounds for a FB.

It is a bit strange. I would've thought more second tier guys would agree to deals. Not sure why they feel the need to wait, what advantage is there?
