I think Steelers end up signing Rodgers and Russ returns to Seattle

I'm jonesing. I need another signing.
Speaking of, where are we this season at the Jones position? We used to have a deep bench at Jones...

Dyami brown to the jags 1 year 10 mill, up to 12 mil. Damn i woulda liked that,

They would be far better off tanking the season in a year before a solid QB draft. I would much rather be the Patriots than the Steelers. I would rather take a couple of year of being the crap of the NFL and get the QB of the future than an endless doom loop of wild card berths and one and done in the playoffs.

BTW to this point, the Patriots haven't won a playoff game since they won the Super Bowl in the 2018 season and only have been to the playoffs twice after that and they have still won a playoff game more recently than the Steelers and they go the playoffs almost every year.

You guys asked for it.

Carlton Davis since he's been in the NFL:

2018: 13 games 492 yards, 63 completion %, 12.6 yards per completion, 6 TD's, O INT's, 116 QB rating.
2019: 14 games 648 yards, 49 completion %, 11.2 yards per completion, 6 TD's, I NT, 80 QB rating
2020: 14 games, 855 yards, 62 completion %, 13.2 yards per completion, 5 TD's, 4 INT's, 87.6 rating
2021: 10 games, 422 yards, 57 completion %, 10.6 yards per completion, 3 TD's, 1 INT, 83.2 rating
2022: 13 games, 622 yards, 55 completion %, 12 yards per completion, 3 TD's, 1 INT, 82.8 rating
2023: 12 games, 721 yards, 61.4 completion %, 14.4 yards per completion, 4 TD's 2 INT's, 96 rating

Tampa traded him to Detroit.

His only year in Detroit:

2024: 13 games, 567 yards, 55 completion %, 13.5 yards per completion, 2 TD's, 2 INT's, 77 QB rating.

Summary: He misses at least 3-6 games per year, gives up lots of yards, yards per completion, TD's, but doesn't make up for it.
Giving up 77 passer rating is pretty elite these days.

Look up the QB leaders in passer rating. There were like 20 guys over a 100 last season.

I think Rodgers is going to choose Pittsburgh. Like the Jets, they will be hyped up as an AFC Super Bowl contender only to disappoint. Rodgers is cooked.
He didn't look good last year at all. He had a few decent moments, but not enough that I'd hang my hat on him, and not at his price.

Davis 2024: 55% completion rate, 567 yards allowed, 13.5 yards per completion, 2 TD, 2 INT, 77 QB rating
Gonzo 2024: 56% completion rate, 530 yards allowed, 10.8 yards per completion, 2 TD, 2 INT, 72 QB rating

Davis put up stats comparable to Gonzo in 2024 and is signing to be the number TWO corner... I don't see a problem
You're conveniently leaving out that Davis only played 13 games. He was on pace to give up 741 yards passing.

The problem I have is his overall body of work. I watched him during the Brady Tampa years and he always stood out as a weak link.

I wonder where Russ Wilson will sign now...

Hope it isn't the Giants, Browns, or Titans....

Isn't he pretty average lol?

Came on strong towards the end. Played big in the postseason other than a fumble in philly. It woulda been more of a ‘potential’ signing but i liked what ive seen
