Some folks worked themselves up thinking Ronnie Stanley was coming when he never even got to free agency. Then it was Chris Godwin who “technically” hit free agency for all of 5 minutes, and the Pats offered a huge overpay to, but he took less to stay home.

The Pats did exactly what folks here want and it didn’t work out, so somehow that is Eliot Wolf’s fault. Ignore the other overpay to Milton Williams and the other solid signings. Oh and also it means Kraft is cheap! Something something something lighthouse
There were and have been LOTS of other options. You can not take that 70 million in cap space to the grave.
They could have gone more aggressively after Metcalf, Thuney, Elijah Moore, Rondale Moore, Cam Robinson, Tevin Jenkins, Darius Slayton, Davante Adams, Hopkins, Valdez Scantling, Hardman, Palmer
YES Wolfe is to blame he is "in charge". How about trades...other teams have done so.
The Offensive skill set on this team is ridiculous and embarrassing. The draft will not fix that this year as a stand alone measure.
This is now the second year in a row where UFA signings on the offensive side of the ball has been a FAIL.
Another year of Maye on rookie contract in danger of being a fail.
Wolfe said he is in charge...he has shown a distressing lack of boldness and creativity for 2nd year in a row. Not sure how that can be disputed.
Not asking for super bowl contention but find Maye some veteran playmakers and I am not talking about Bourne or Rhamondre Stevensons or Gibbs

Rant over

Same as last offseason. Over $100M cap space and not a single impact addition on offense. Yet the homers on this board will defend the team no matter what. It's hilarious.
They can't help themselves in their warp minds they see Maye as Brady and Vrabel as BB. They can't differentiate a dream from reality.

Chris Godwin's miss is part of business

Letting the guys that have been traded so far, Diggs, Ayiuk, and other few "prime"-ish WRs go to opponents is starting to look egregious to me, and frankly, indefensable.

Posters like you just want the team to collect talent. Yyou don't care if that talent has an attitude problem or is lazy or spends more time injured than they do playing.. If the team hasn't picked up the players YOU wanted, then you consider the team incompetent. Doesn't matter that you have about as much football knowledge as a 2 year old from Mozambique.

Since you missed it, all the top LTs re-signed with their team prior to free agency. The top WRs? Yep. They re-signed (Godwin) or were tagged (Higgins) or weren't interested in coming to New England (Metcalf / Kupp).

Dan Moore and Cam Robinson? They're just as bad as Lowe was last year.

Feel free to leave and not let the door hit you in the arse. Then go to Market Basket and pick yourself up some cheese and crackers to go with that whine. You won't be missed.

YOU BETTER HOPE THEY DONT FRIEND

Diggs is a UFA recovering from an ACL injury.
Aiyuk hasn't been traded. Do you mean Deebo Samuel?

How is it "indefensible"? Teams aren't REQUIRED to trade with the Patriots. Metcalf was given permission to seek a trade and he found a trade with Pittsburgh because he didn't want to play in New England. There is also a chance that he'll end up receiving passes from Wilson or Rodgers in Pittsburgh.. So they'll feed his ego.

A bit of abstract thinking please

of course I know Diggs and Ayiuk, heck i will even throw Cupper there even though i think is he is below these guys (and others maybe) arent all signed

the point is that we are missing on "above-average" WRs. My literall point is, i guess, that all Wrs that have been dealt so far this FA (or comfortably 85%) would be day 1 starters for us, as of right now

No. It's your warped minds that can't differentiate dream from reality. No one has intimated that Maye is Brady and Vrabel is BB. What people HAVE said is that they are building a TEAM. Not collecting talent. Something you still haven't learned despite over a decade on the board.

Our Team is Devoid of Talent on Offense minus Drake Maye. When are you going to get that through your thick skull DB?? Piss me Off!!

Godwin chose to stay in Tampa so he could stay near his kids during the season and not uproot them.
Kupp's intention was to sign with Seattle. If Seattle wasn't interested, only then would he go somewhere else.

Aiyuk is still with the 49ers.
Metcalf chose to go to the Steelers. He said he didn't want to play in New England. Something about it being too cold.

The only player whom we don't know if he chose to go to Washington via trade is Samuel.

You want to claim that the Pats are Missing out and to blame them, but you ignore the huge side of the equation. Which is the player's motivation. Many of the players are looking to got to an established team. Not one in the middle of a rebuild.

Personally, I didn't want a 30 something WR coming in and taking snaps from the 4 young guys that the Pats have. That's why I was fine with the Pats NOT signing Adams (33), Kupp (32), Hopkins (33), Mike Williams (31). All the 30 something WRs people are clamoring about have one big thing in common. They all missed games last year due to injury. They wouldn't be starters if they are injured..

People forget it's very rare for a WR to come into the league and make an instant impact. It usually takes a year or two.

No, it's not devoid of talent on offense. I may have a thick skull (Irish/Polish/Slav mix), but it protects the brain that I use regularly. You should try doing that instead of reacting with ridiculous emotions all the time.

No one cares if you are pissed off. Shows a huge lack of control on your part. Clearly, you need to go outside and touch some grass. Figure out what's actually important in life. Until then, enjoy talking into the void.

I can bring out a list of Free agents + traded wrs this offseason alone, their salaries

and you tell me if they are better or worse than our 3rd best Wrs, who at this moment, is who? Boutte? Bourne?

those are high profile names, but i would take Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, Darius Slayton Josh Palmer to name just a few less touted guys. All of these are better than Boutte and Bourne even based on what he has shown here (and dont say oh they are different set of receivers.... again, abstract thinking and all that)

DB you say the nicest things the #1 Pats Homer... sorry but I'm a Pats realist like some around here.

Anyone who says there’s talent on offense are just trolling.

Henry, Hooper, Rhamondre, Gibson, Demario, they now have 4 out of 5 starting linemen.

There’s talent on the offense.
