I'm happy so far and I don't anticipate day 3 changing that.
After 2 free agencies and a draft without properly addressing OL it's great to see some real capital used at the position. I think I would have preferred a guard over a center but they got picked over even a couple going high in the first. So still getting one of the top centers feels great.
It does leave me wondering a little about Strange since Vrabel was talking about him at center. For now let's slot him back as guard and leave it as something to monitor. I like Strange more than most but it seems Vrabel might be a little concerned about his injury history he seems hesitant to hand him starter back.
I love the Henderson pick. I wasn't expecting RB so high. In a good way all 3 backs are a little redundant in that they all seem like 3 down backs and I don't see any of the 3 as pure Blount type lead back or a White/Vareen type 3rd down back. Good that they all have multiple skills and can all play in both run and pass games. This is going to be a very interesting group/competition. Rhan better get ball security fixed or he'll quickly become 3rd on the list.
Lastly with Williams at first I thought he was another slot guy but after watching more tape I get a little bit of Deion Branch vibes. Has the body of a slot guy but has a more straight line speed and plays the boundaries so I see more Branch than Brown. Again I see some redundancy in a good way between Diggs, Pop, and Williams as I could see them each lining up all over.
In a weird way I kind of like that we went RB in the 2nd and WR in the third. Williams looks good on tape and it's easy to just slot him in to the top 3 but as a 3rd rounder I don't think he automatically buries or makes anyone expendable. They each still have a lot to prove but I don't see Williams as someone Boutte, Bourne, Polk, or even Baker couldn't wind up beating but it certainly puts them all on notice. I'll save the debate on how and who they each can make it for another day.
Obvious complaint is this is 2 straight drafts and so far only Dial on defense.
