Went through some numbers earlier and figured I'd post them in here:
Looking at the last 9 weeks, the Patriots offense has been notably better in the last four weeks compared to the first five games of 2024 in terms of scoring:
First Five Games: 62 (31st in the NFL over that span)
Last Four Games: 79 (19th in the NFL over that span)
One big area has been late in games. They've scored 52 second-half points in the last four weeks, compared to just 26 over the first five games.
The fourth quarter has seen a big jump. The Patriots scored just 13 fourth QTR points in the first five weeks.
They've scored 31 in the 4th QTR in the last four games.
A couple of other notes:
This one is really confusing:
No idea where he went off the rails. Chad Graff put out a good article today with a good point when it comes to wideouts who got off to a rough start and then came around, albeit, Polk is far behind his example:
And then this last bit:
He's got a tough road ahead of him to reach that total.

Of course, not all good wide receivers had great production early on. When Wolf was the Green Bay Packers’ director of pro personnel, the team picked Davante Adams in the second round (No. 53 overall in 2014). Adams is the oft-cited example of a highly drafted wide receiver needing a few years to develop before his production takes off. But even his “disappointing” rookie season far outpaced what Polk has done. Through Adams’ first eight games as a rookie, he had 24 catches for 263 yards, more than three times Polk’s yardage total so far.
