And yeah, i went to Borders the other day, and saw "Quiet Strength" on the shelf. I picked it up, checked it out, and sure enough THE BOOK BLOWS.

No question, the Giants picked a great time to get hot. With every other pro sports franchise in the NY area on the downside, the Giants have a great chance to win the hearts of a generation of little fans. Ka-ching!

Imagine how strange it is for me to say that the Red Sox were my saving grace, this year. Not to mention, I've watched more Celtics games this season than I have over the last ten years combined. But, think of the Mets fans, whose team disastrously collapsed. Or the Yankees, who still believe that bugs cost them a World Series. I consider myself lucky.

You're right about the long-term $$ effect, though. We'll revisit this in a thread sometime around January 2018. Could be interesting.
