Hi all,

I was just watching Sunday Countdown and Schefter reported that the Raiders have said that EVERYONE on the roster is available for a possible trade. Other than that really expensive corner that we would all love to have, should we be interested in any other player currently on that roster? How about someone like Michael Bush? What about bringing back Big Sey? Anyone?

Seymour will not come back, and we are not giving up a 1 to get him... However i would give a 1 for the corner, but that is about it...

Lets trade the third we got for Moss to Oakland for Richard Seymour!

convert Jamarcus Russell to an OLB

Re: Oakland Raiders just announced

Hey, my thread about the same exact thing was first!

Re: Oakland Raiders just announced

There is that guy named Asomugha that I would trade for just about any player on this team not named Brady

Re: Oakland Raiders just announced

Oops, just saw, sorry Patsboy. You beat me to it. Strange news huh.

Coaches/Mgmt. trying to motivate players before a huge game?

I've been saying that the Raiders are a way better team than most around here are giving them credit for. I have a hard time believing they are raising the white flag tied for 2nd in a division that is totally up for grabs.

I hear the same thing every season, yet, there are never any significant players traded.

With Gronk and Hernandez looking like big hits at TE, we don't have a need for one - but Zach Miller is a fricking beast. And I'd bite their hands off for either McFadden (who is beginning to look really good) or Bush.

I like that neck twitching dude

I would give them a 1 and a 4 from next year for nnamdi.

Didn't Bill say the same thing awhile back about our team? Besides Brady, Wilfork, Mayo, and probably Welker I could see anyone be traded for the right price. Same thing with every team in this league. The problem is the price. I think you guys are reading to much into it.

Considering next year's draft isn't very deep, maybe we could offer a 4th for Jason Campbell and a 5th for Gradkowski. I don't really care for either, but it would guarantee the Raiders lose a few more games, essentially moving up their #1 pick we own. Think of it as a trade-up, a 4th and 5th rounder to move up a few spots in the early 1st round I'm kidding of course. Though that would be hilarious.

That's funny man.

The difference here is that with the Raiders there's no "besides..."

It's akin to Belichick announcing that he'd be willing to trade Brady (although no one on the Raiders equals Brady)

So if the Schefter rumor is true, the Raiders are willing to blow up the team before the trading deadline, helping the Patriots achieve maximum value for the #1 pick next year

Like someone else already noted, this has been the case every year for the last couple of seasons both before the deadline and in the run up to the draft. It's part of Al's all or nothing philosophy of the last several years... Nnamdi was available this past off season, although his contract was apparently untradeable from a practical standpoint because it wasn't front loaded and meant you'd inherit the constructive mistake Al was willing to make just to get a deal done with him a year earlier.

The Raiders know on some level - again - whatever happens this season they aren't bringing home a Lombardi because they have no real quality starter at the QB position.

Indeed. Apparently, they did the same thing last year but I didn't know about that.
