O/T: Sean Payton interviews Rex Ryan for DC job

IIRC, Payton had his brother as DC at one point, and it didn’t end well. I want to say, the year of the Kembrell Thompkins game winner from Brady on the last play of the game?

The Saints were celebrating the win at the 2 minute warning.

Wrecks certainly was never HC material, but he wasn't a bad DC... And thanks for calling TO in Bawlmore, Tubby!

Like his brother, his schemes will throw teams off guard for a while until the other teams catch on. Then they move on to their next team.

Wonderful woman. We’re all very fond of her. Very free spirited.

Unlike when he took jobs with the Jets and the Bills, he's not inheriting a nasty defense that he can make worse by the year. Should be fun!

Adding Rex doesn't make them better but it does make them more entertaining.

I don't know why he would do this at this point in his career. He makes good money, doesn't work hard and has access to lots of free and readily available snacks.

Epic.

I think if Rex puts his best foot forward, he has a good chance at the job. Hes a free-thinker and definitely not a guy who toes the company line.
I am really surprised that he's dipping his toe back in the water of NFL coaching. You'd have to think with his resume, he'd have a foot up on the competition. If I were in his shoes, I would probably stay retired, but what the hell do I know? I'd rather be footloose and fancy free. I guess I'd have to walk a mile in his shoes to know. Maybe he needs the money? If so, I bet he can pull himself up by the bootstraps and get the job done. I bet he really can knock their socks off in the interview process, I mean, the dude's been around. I doubt he'll shoot himself in the foot. Maybe he is just bored, and doesn't want to let the grass grow under his feet? Who knows.

Well if they choose him he'll have nice piece on Defense to work with CB Patrick Surtain II.
