(10:00 AM):Steelers cut rook RB; get pick back... As hinted at earlier today, Pittsburgh no longer owes New England compensation for a trade last week in which the Steelers acquired undrafted rookie free agent RB Patrick Cobbs from the Patriots. The deal was for a conditional draft pick that was wiped out when the Steelers released Cobbs yesterday after signing former Green Bay RB Najeh Davenport.

We might be able to get him back through waivers.
