No HOF for Kraft again

Honest question, outside of owning the pats and revolution, what has krafty done outside of those teams? Aside from the Myra Kraft giving back assistance fund of course, is there anything else community oriented? Jerrah should not be in it and kinda surprised the dude they let in this year wasn’t already in…If he hasn’t done much else, maybe that’s why? Kraft trying to get himself in may have annoyed the powers that be and this is his punishment. Unfortunately he probably won’t get in until he passes…
What an uninformed post! He's had his hand in TV contracts and has been instrumental in keeping peace with the players' union

Eddie 'The Felon' DeBribealo and Pat "Caught Cheating the Cap' Bowlen got inducted in the past ten years but our boy Handy Bob got shivved? Yeah, that's not somebody with a grudge, not at all.

I personally don't believe the HoF should have owners enshrined but they do and since they do there's no way Kraft doesn't belong when Jerruh, DeBartolo and Bowlen are in.

Pushing aside the greatest coach of all time for an unqualified ass kissing empty suit should put a permanent end to Kraft’s Hall of Fame fantasy.
At least Kraft had the good sense to fire a HOF coach when he had a 4 win season and hadn't won a playoff game in 5 years. Jerry Jones fired a HOF coach in the middle of a dynasty because he was jealous of how much credit he was getting and effectively prematurely ended a run.

I don't think we know the whole "behind the scenes" story. The Boston sports media led us to believe that RKK is a popular NFL figure, but that is not true. People that vote don't like RKK. I don't think it is jealousy.

He is popular within the league. Hall voters generally have a tendency to want to put coolers on guys with some level of controversy and the whole Orchids of Asia thing absolutely has hurt Kraft because he's not some no brainer player that people are going to cry about getting snubbed.

He will get into the Hall imo, but they are going to ice him for a bit over that. Also going to the Brady roast and that being brought up probably did bring it back to everyones attention again.

Even Kraft's wildest detractors would be hard pressed to call his philanthropy into question. The Kraft foundation has donated hundreds of millions to a variety of causes primarily but not limited to the areas of women and children's health and education. Kraft is well known as one of New England's most generous philanthropists. It's not just the big flash of cash either but practical things as well, the use of the Pats planes is routinely donated to deserving causes big and small. Hell, they were used to fly in masks for healthcare providers when Covid was overwhelming hospitals. How are you not aware of this?

two things can be true..they don't like him AND there is an element of jealousy

There are many reasons to not like Kraft BUT he scored big television deals and kept the Player's union from striking and his team went from bottom of the barrel to 6 time world champs.
Yes the Orchid massage incident was a big embarrassment but Jerry and Bowlen have done even worse.

I suspect he has voters who hold a grudge against him and its personal.

If any owner deserves to get in its Kraft. Saved. Football in New England, TV contracts, helped settle the league/players union deal, and his team is the greatest dynasty the league has seen.

For the most part, people are complicated.

Mr.Kraft has also, put his money where his mouth is in responding to growing anti-semitism by spending millions on a "stop Jewish Hate" campaign including $7 million for an ad that ran during last year's Super Bowl. He is also a supporter of Israel which could have worked against his candidacy. I'm not saying it did or didn't but it would be naive to ignore the possibility that some voters who might be more sympathetic to the Palestinians used it against him. I know Ian tries to keep politics out of the forum but I am just raising the possibility, not waving the bloody flag that it was a factor, maybe not the major one. I'm sure Orchids didn't help as well.

I think the answer is much more simpler and it has already been discussed on here:

This has to tug at him and his family who wants him to get his bust. Not sure what can be done to massage over any ill perception among the selection committee.
I’d imagine slipping an extra 20$ with a nudge nudge wink wink and a moist towelette would push him over the edge??

And in fact there is absolutely nothing worse than being rubbed the wrong way

“For the collective good of the 32”… if I’m a NE voter I make Kraft wait a while for a HOF induction just for that. Despicable that he couldn’t stand up for the man that made his football team one of the greatest dynasties in sports.

Owners shouldn't be in the hall, but given they put them in, he should definitely be in if Jerry is.

I do agree with the part that he probably will only get in posthumously. In fact, that was my first thought when I saw the title of the thread.
