To be sure, I was VERY SURPISED that Keiaho came back as quickly as he did.

I was surprised until I read his wikipedia entry.

"In recent news Tom Brady said he wishes that the Patriots had Freddy instead of Adalius Thomas or Mike Vrabel"

The guy must be a STUD!

That's gotta be the one of the strangest things I have ever read!!

He did make a nice tackle last year @ NE. Inside the 10 yd. line? Stopped Maroney (IIRC)

In rugby, a player diagnosed with a concussion is prohibited from playing for three weeks -- no exceptions, no discretion. If the NFL were serious about protecting players' health (and the NFLPA were doing its job of advancing players' interests) it would have the same rule. Leaving the decision in the hands of coaches and team doctors leads to an unacceptable conflict of interests.

This is the problem..the "unions" for pro sprots have one objective and one objective only: increasing the size of the contracts. Player health and welfare is not on their radar screens. The health problems suffered by retired players are terrible and should be addressed. mandatory time off for a players suffering a concussion is one way, but they dont do it.

We don't know the specifics of any NFL players concusssion, or even if they had a concussion. We are simply expressing concern. I don't beileve Dungy would put a player in before it is safe. It's Polian I would not trust.[/QUOTE]

Why do you say that? And, even if its true, the problem is that Dungy doesn't know when it is safe, he's a football coach, not a doctor,a dn if adoctor says a player can play the week following a consussion, well, that doctor is wrong.

You have no clue and need to stop talking about this subject. Read up a little on the subject and come back with something to offer.

I don't know that not all concussions are the same and that the league enforces a doctor's approval now?

Like I said, it's stupid to make judgments about their coach when it takes a *lot* of people to sign off on a concussion. And that is a fact.
