Avoiding any obvious comparisons, Thomas seems to get something done out there when he's in the game, shows fire and desire, and works to improve.

It's unfortunate that he'll likely be a victim of the numbers game again, but you never know.

"I think it's a good example of where hard work and preparation came together and there was an opportunity and then he was able to take advantage of it."

So what was it that made this camp different?

"Just technique, just learning the technique," Thomas said.

He's a Hurricane. He's a baller. Enough said.

Excellent article. I hope he stays when Seymour comes back but I kind of doubt it, and I worry that the DL-starved jets might think he'd be a good fit for their 53.

Still a month or more before we reach that bridge to cross.
There well might be another injury somewhere on the front 7.

Absent that ...
i would expect Chad Brown to be dropped ... and Santonio kept.

I agree. Look at the comparative upsides of each player.

Great article...always liked him! I thought he was going to be good...and that is why he's stayed around. Having depth like that is why this team is so tough. I agree..he's cut and the Green will pick him up for sure.

Yet another guy who seemed to start out at NT here and wound up moving more to DE.

Seymour, Warren, Wright, Green, and Smith are all on that list as well. I believe that's our complete contingent of DEs, OLB/DEs excepted.

True...and it is interesting how all have moved to NT..does that mean none are suited for that spot behind Wilfork? Or only for short duty there? I also wonder about this week, whether Thomas will be active, the 5th DL ahead of Smith and Brown. My guess is yes!!

If Santonio continues to progress, and if there are no other injuries to the DL, then I would prefer that, when $eemour returns, Kareem Brown develops a paper cut and is placed on the IR.
