NFL's Integrity* on display again: league hid $100M+ from players to keep salary cap down

What Is Roger Goodell's Net Worth?

NFL integrity "on display"...is that like a sighting of the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot?

Now now, don't try to spin this. You're making a complete fool of yourself by saying we should all give the NFL Office the benefit of the doubt, and I'm actually rather enjoying it. All I did was give you enough rope to hang yourself. It's not my fault you eagerly obliged.

Did I give Tom Brady the benefit of the doubt? Absolutely. He has an impeccable reputation.
Do I give the NFL Office the benefit of the doubt? No f-ing way. They are confirmed slimebags.
So you are the same as Mortsensen, kraitz, kensil, Vincent, wells, pash, goodell, Doyle et al. You don't care about facts you have declared the scenario that speaks the worst of the accused is truth.
Must be nice in your world to have a different standard based in which way the wind blows.

But please go on and explain your intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the NFL and share your "slime bag confirmation" that you feel is evidence that they did, what is it you are arguing? They knew they miscounted part of a calculation?

Ad has been my point, you clown yourself with this approach when there are actual real proven complicit acts that you could be ripping them for. But go ahead bang the drum "they did whatever I say because they are scum so therefore I will do the same scummy thing and judge them without facts"
You are what you say is slime.

But... but... give Roger the benefit of the doubt, will ya?!?!?
No lets just make up stories and blame them in him because he did other bad things. Yeah that's a great approach. Wait that's how we got to deflategate. Hmmm.

Andy the arbitrator took about as long to rule on the issue as it does to brew a pot of coffee. It was that cut n dry.

Being a hypocrite on this issue is saying that this is a straightforward issue when its actually a witch hunt. Clearly that is not the case here.

It was a blatent disregard for the CBA and the agreement and relationship with the NFLPA.
The league was wrong on the matter. That doesn't mean it was a scheme or anything blatant. Maybe it was but you don't have the facts.
Being really wrong doesn't make you more dishonest.

As the facts are coming out these stadium upgrades are going to come out of the revenue that controls the cap. It's allowed. All they did was used revenue F when they can only use revenue A B C D and E.
charging back revenue F only means they will recoup the exact same money from revenues A-E going forward.
There is zero sum gain overall in this.
It really is an accounting issue and people are going out of their mind over this and it's not what it is being portrayed as.

Next are we going to go back to the ignorant argument that people expect the revenue from pink sales and not a portion of the profits to charity?
Because NFL do whatever scum I make up must be true.

Frankly, we both have nowhere near the full set of facts.
My point was trashing the NFL over every little thing and making every assumption against them is like us being Ted Wells, and we look like whiners who refuse to see there are 2 sides.
I think it takes away from the focus on whats really wrong, but go ahead bash away.
Seems like you prefer the Kraft-like high road to end the rhetoric.

Curious.

Go ahead. Please keep defending Roger Goodell and explain to us all why he deserves as much benefit of the doubt here as Tom Brady deserved last year.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Lmao. Give Roger Goodell the benefit of the doubt? That's hilarious.

Just a little oversight.

Oops.

Oh wait, he's a pathological liar. I take it back.

I'm not defending him at all.
I'm saying you are a hypocrit to decide he must be guilty without facts while you cry that the sane thing was fine to the patriots.

It's not that complicated. If all the deflagrate conclusion jumpers were wrong to speak without knowing the facts then you are wrong here to speak without the facts.
Your answer is you know he must be because you don't like him.

Huh? Where did I say anything like that.

I am saying its moronic to create a story about what must have happened without using facts.
In other words people who find goodell guilty due to reputation are doing exactly what was fine to the patriots a year ago.

So if the patriots are accused no one dare judge them but if it's the NFL damn the facts gather the lunch mob?

I probably have a lower opinion of goodell than the majority of people arguing with me. I'm just rational enough to understand that it idiotic to take anything his name is attached to blow it up into the worst case possible and conclude its correct because it's goodell.

My god it's exactly what the league does to the patriots.

How about we do something unique and judge once the facts are known.
Surprisingly in America people get on a message board and find that concept offensive.

You just don't have the first clue what the concept of benefit of the doubt means, do you? There is nothing hypocritical about extending benefit of the doubt to men with honorable, unstained backgrounds like Brady whilst simultaneously refusing to extend it to proven scumbag degenerate liars like Goodell.

You have made your laughable point. You feel the known POS lying scumbag Roger Goodell deserves as much benefit of the doubt today in this case as Brady deserved last year regarding deflategate.

Good like finding anyone in this forum who agrees with that philosophy.

You have proven my point. People like you belittle the strength of the argument that the patriots were wronged on the basis of the facts of the case. Let's just promote the viewpoint NFL bad Goodell bad they do worst thing imaginable who needs proof. That will really legitimize the argument that the patriots were treated unfairly because the facts dispute the preconceived findings because we preconceive everything the NFL does is wrong without any facts.
Let's hope opinions like yours don't get heard outside if a forum like this.

It was ticket sales, Andy. Not PSLs, branding or corp ad deals which is protected revenue.

I am supremely confident that the CBA contains no language whatsoever which allows for any form of gate revenue to be exempt from being considered "revenue". The owners tried to get away with it by believing the player's auditors would notice. That's it.

Please stop with the Patriots fans witch hunt stuff. The league and owners have a long track record of greed and shady behavior as it relates to the CBA and player behavior.

We are a jaded and persecuted fan base but in this instance it is so blatantly obvious it's not even a question as to their motivation and intent.

If there was a question why not operate in good faith and consult with the players or an arbitor before the fact and stay above board and foster trust?

You know why the chose not to take that path.

Again you are doing the same thing goodell/wells did.
They were supremely confident that the patriots knew they were breaking the rules. They knew the patriots had a history of not caring about rules. The balks were taken into a bathroom. By cheaters. The colts caught them with the int ball. They measured and the balls were under psi. They proceeded to treat them as guilty criminals BECAUSE THEY ARE THE PATRIOTS.

You can justify doing the same thing all you want but it is the same thing. You think you are right because you know how dishonest the league is. Exactly kensils approach to the pats.

Doesn't mean you are wrong but means you are disinterested in facts. That makes out fan base look no better than the boobs behind the shield.

As Florio pointed out, it took the Arbitratror hardly any time at all to arrive at his decision. No deliberation, the rottenness was quite evident.

NFL downplays arbitration ruling

"The only problem is that this specific interpretation was made quickly and decisively, by the Arbitrator at the hearing during which the two sides presented their cases. It’s incredibly rare for any arbitrator or judge to issue a substantive ruling in a contested case at the hearing itself. Here, it shows that the NFL’s interpretation wasn’t just off the mark, but that it was so far off the mark that there was no reason for the arbitrator to even think it over."

Maybe the Arbitrator was a Patsfan too.

I'm not sure how the arbitrator deciding quickly makes it any more than the NFL was wrong and creates a conspiracy.
