Here is a 3 round mock from NFL101Draft.com, a site that I have never heard of until today.

NFLDraft101: Three Round 2011 NFL Mock Draft - 1st Draft of NFL Lockout

#17 Wilkerson
#28 Justin Houston
#33 Rodney Hudson
#60 Daniel Thomas
#74 Ras I Dowling
#92 Mark Herzlich

No too shabby and I'd be happy with that draft. There is a 7 round mock which was in USA Today Draft magazine that I like better. It's on the "ticker' at the top of the page.

Daft, indeed.

Re: NFL Daft 101 mock

with the way this one plays out, I would make some changes.......

17 - wilkerson
28 - watkins
33 - phil taylor
60 - RB ryan williams
74 - WR leonard hankerson
92 - OLB jabaal sheard

take fresno state OLB chris carter in the 5th.....

our DL would be set for awhile.....pretty beefy, too

Re: NFL Daft 101 mock

I'm fine with Wilkerson and Houston.

If this is the way it goes, we're trading down to one of the teams who wants a quarterback. We can then decide on which OL's we want. Hudson seems a bit light. Ijalana seems to be a better prospect. I could see taking IJalana at 33, but a minor trade dwon seems best.

I am with you on Hudson. Way too light to even be a consideration. Closer to 6'1" than 6'4".

Houston concerns be greatly. He has all the tools but disappears for stretches and his sack abilities are questionable.....i.e. no motor! I would suggest that is a great big pass on him by the Pats at all costs.

Wilkerson I like but we still need to address a pass rush OLB. I prefer Reed @#33 because he will get better as a pass rusher with some coaching and he is pretty good now at that.

I am starting to appreciate Acho's work. Maybe #60?

I'm fine with Wilkerson at #17 but I think Watt is a much better value. You might get Wilkerson at #28. Now that the D Line is set go Watkins @#33 and perhaps Acho at #60? I still think we need another OLB/DE in round three or four and I address that with Romeus and a RB (Muarry in round 4?)

I lean more toward "IllegalContacts" Draft but instead of DL Taylor at #33 I go Reed. I don't think Sheard is on our board at all at #92 in his Draft. "Shot putting" people through store windows is pretty much a "no-no" for BB. I think his pick of Dowling is a typical genius BB move but not at CB.....This kid is 6'2" and 200lbs. He has speed but his ball skills and his great tackling ability could transform him into a Ed Reed type of FS. We got killed by our safeties in 2010. We have two hitters in Merriweather and Chung. Their games are the same. The newly signed Page and Barrett were signed for a reason by BB but they too are of the strong safety caliber. We need a play maker who can actually cover in the middle. BB did this with Eugene Wilson who prior to injury was a pretty good FS conversion. I see Dowling as a FS with Ed Reed skills and maybe bigger. BB genius if that is the idea. This kid is also one of the best young men in the Draft. He dropped a little with 2010 ankle issues that helps us where he is available.

I go with OLB/DE Greg Romeus at #92 who I feel will be the steal of the Draft. Mayock indicated Bruce Crater of N.C was a top fifteen pick if not injured so this was a typical BB pick in the second or third. I say Romeus falls into that category as a sure top ten pick after 09 but back surgery for a disc, a knee injury and losing his mother took away his game in 2010. He is now cleared physically. Maybe they wait if they think he will be there in the fourth? In that case I go NT Kendrick Ellis. who at 340 lbs is very quick and seems to be matured now from his "smokius weedius" addiction at USC (South Carolina before Hampton). At #92 you can gamble a little I guess.

I like Iljana because he can play in or out MG, but I think we can wait until perhaps the #92 pick if Wilkerson fills up the D Line roster and go T/G Marcus Cannon. Who at about 360 has quick feet and moves fast for a man that big. Can play RT or G. He is about 50lbs more than Costanzo and has about his speed in the ten yard split and the 40. He also benches more and has a higher vertical. I did some studying on him and he is a horse who can help.

My twist on this man's Draft, but I took a little of MG, Illegalcontact and PatsNut catch on the NFL DRAFT 101 picks together.

I like the Wilkerson pick. Yes I have reservations about how he responds to side blocks, but maybe with some technique work he can solve that.

Hudson is rising up most draft boards but as a center, which is where I think he fits best.

I like the Thomas pick, great inside runner and catches the ball well, but because he runs upright like ****erson used to, he will have a short career in the NFL and a lot of hours on the trainer's table.

I like Herzlich especially if he gets faster.
