NFL Wild Card: Ravens at Chiefs

Damn, everytime there's a break, I wanna change the channel to another game.

What the... :bricks:

This is a COTY nominee??? Are you kidding me???

That stretch play where Rice got stopped was interesting. He tried to bang it outside and was stoned. My high school assistant coach (I was a TE) used to knock the stretch plays that our HC wanted in the offense because he thought the stretch was a weak play for an offense. So, I've always kept that in the back of my mind.

A few weeks ago at the Bills game, the Patriots ran one stretch play after another. I watched from the end zone, keeping a close eye on the splits and the holes opening up. The Bills DTs were being moved off their blocks and rendered ineffective (Kyle Williams was not the stud moving laterally) and what I saw was pretty amazing. BenJarvus seemed to pick the right hole almost each and every time. He had incredible vision and patience, and I truly appreciated what he could do.

Now, back to the Ravens and Rice. I saw a small hole (maybe good for 3 yards) pop open on that stretch play, but Rice wanted to take it outside. BenJarvus would have gotten 3 there. Rice lost 3.

You know what other late round/UDFA RB had abilities similar to BenJarvus'? Terrel Davis.

I don't know if we could draft a RB that could step in and do what BenJarvus does.

I'm going through some serious RedZone withdrawal.

ray rice is the entire offense

Ray Rice is killing this zone defense.

So so far...the Ravens can't run, can't throw to their WRs, but can't be stopped throwing short to RBs and TEs?

Eric Berry's a beast

Ravens offense just doesnt have that 'it'.
Good running game, decent group of receivers, QB that analysts speak very highly or who does have a big arm, but they just seem to consistently underperform.
And their D is not what it used to be. Still good but vulnerable. They may win this game, but this is just not a SB team.

No question that Flacco doesn't have "it." With all their weapons, just being a game manager and not turning it over is usually enough.

just can't stop them on 3rd

Wow, huge play there. Hali is a beast.

Wooo, Chiefs force a fumble! Now let's see if Cassell can lead this offense to a score.

Wow... Turnovers can really change the game...

Hopefully Brady doesn't do what flacco just did...

Key turnover here.

That was the ugliest 6-yard gain I've seen all season.

But who cares? Nice run by Charles.

So Joe Flacco has just joined a group of QBs who have never won a SuperBowl.
