This policy actually has an obligation to report, so everyone who knew the measurements of the footballs at halftime has violated the policy by not reporting that the Mortensen report was a violation of the fairness and honesty standard.

Here is a beautiful excerpt

C. Accurate and Complete Records Accurate records play a vital role in assuring the maintenance of high ethical standards particularly as they reflect our various business transactions. Accordingly, all NFL transactions must be recorded accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Never make false or artificial entries in the NFL’s records. Never understate or overstate reports of sales or expenses, or alter any documents used to support those reports. All assets and liabilities must be recorded in the regular books of account. Use the best available information for any estimates and ensure that you are able to support any assumptions made.

What about if you're generally aware of the misinformation? Can you still get in trouble for not correcting it?

This thread is great.

The hypocrisy of the NFL with this document should make any thinking person's head explode.

God's Statement of Policy on Honesty and Fairness: Thou Shalt Not Lie

But what happens when you apply Goodell-logic to this:

Those that work for the nfl HAVE to follow the policy of honesty and fairness, therefore Goodell, Kensil, Vincent etc. are honest and fair. Close closed. Wash hands.

I think it was Mike. McCann that said today after Brady is taken care of the Pats will have an investigation of the front office.

Correct. This is the standard incorrectly applied to Brady that would be appropriately applied to an NFL exec.
