let's see...it seems the game will be one of them...

Where did you get this info from Pat? I think the Giants would be a big draw in London (given huge ex-pat NY community here). The other might be the Cowboys, who remain an extremely well known brand in the uk.

i read on an article put on www.cbssportsline.com dtd 11 January

Mia-Nyg should be the game

but it could be also Mia-Buf

Miami will be 'home' game

next week we will know for sure

Interesting that that has not made a big splash here at all....I think Mia NYG.....just to get both conferences into it...

Thanks. As they've made the decision to play here - for better or for worse - I'm pleased they have picked a game that should provide a contest.

Will you come, Pats?

Will you come, Pat ?

i think so - do you think will it be sold out ?

imho: yes

many fans will arrive from all over Europe plus also a lot, imho, from Us too...

I think it will sell out. In the mid 80s they were selling out pre-season games. I remember going to Bears-Cowboys and Rams-Broncos. I think for a regular season game there will be 80,000 plus - from all over the UK and Europe.

We should look into having a Patsfans.com party/tailgate somewhere.

absolutely yes - good idea

what about the tickets ?

Once we get a little nearer the time, if you need tickets booking from here etc, then we can get in touch and I'll be happy to arrange things for you or hekp you out.

I have no idea yet how they'll sell tickets, but i imagine it will be through an agency like Ticketmaster or similar. I think they will be reasonably straightforward to get for those wanting them. Demand likely to be strong but I don't think tickets will be out of reach.

NFL Live on ESPN just said it's NYG-Miami.

EDIT: Actually at the bottom of the screen it said The New York Daily News reports the Giants and Dolphins will play in England. But the actual NYDN link just says that the Giants are EXPECTED to be the team to play the Phins because they've got the higher profile roster. So nothing is set in stone.

Out of country games suck for the teams that have to play them, total disruption for the traing camp. Great PR.

Regular season game. I assume both teams will have a bye week the week after. Could be good publicity for the game in Europe. I'll be in Ireland for the year to study abroad, so I'll see if I can make the trek to London to see the game. Would've preferred Buffalo-Miami so I'd have a team to root for (I hate both of these teams... ey ey ey let's go Buffalo), but hey whatever.

As a side question, anyone know where I could watch the Pats in Dublin?

These are regular season games? that would suck even worse, and the fact that either Miami or the Gints would only have 7 home games, I am not sure I like the sound of that.
