What, you think this means Garoppolo can't be traded there? The Browns were PAID (in draft capital) to take this guy. He's not their target. Maybe the contract complicates matters, but I don't think JG going to Cleveland is any less likely than it was this morning.

Alternatively, you could be upset because Houston has no choice but to get a better QB now. I would agree there.

If so, it would turn into a basketball-like trade in which NBA teams routinely trade contracts to get them off their books; only it rarely, if ever, happens in the NFL.
