NFL apologized to Hobbs for AFCCG muffed call?

Per Felger, Hobbs told him today that he had received a letter of apology from the NFL for the call in the endzone.

Is this news? I knew it was a bad call, but I never heard of a player getting the letter.

the apology should come during the season when a ref looks the other way while Hobbs gets to take out a receiver. and the playoff refs are supposed to be the better ones
