Makes no sense if the hit was to let’s say Gronk away from the play it’s a first down

Brady ****ed up going big for Gronk on 2nd down, he had a guy wide open in the middle for the easy 1st down. Was only 5 yards and put themselves under 3rd down pressure for nothin.

Honestly, I don't always look at as binary win/loss. Yes, the end result is huge, but look at Brady is still scratching and clawing. He'll probaly wind up once again with 50-60 passing attempts throwing at a great defense with mostly second string players. Do you think Brady gives a crap about his stats and interceptions? I have a lot more respect for Mahomes losing big last year (and still grinding) then for Rodgers and his typical "you can't blame me for not throwing the ball! no one's wide open!!" routine year after year in the postseason.

You learn more about a guy when he loses than wins.

Nobody can ever say Brady left plays out there. Or didn't give his all.

Yep - exactly! The Bucs have, if nothing else, a bunch of RBs with fresh legs. Fournette, Vaughn, Bernard. They absolutely should have been pounding it there.

not always, QB throwing the ball into the ground , then taking a late hit. Wouldn't that be a 1st down for the offense?
