Next Sop Tetairoa McMillan's Pro Day

When will you get it through your head that there is no value at 4 if Hunter and Carter are gone. The next 10 guys are all equal. When will you get it through your head Vrabel said he is building through the trenches? He is not taking a WR at 4. Its just not happening. The fikin emotional roller coaster you go through is worse the New England weather. It jut changes ever 10 minutes. I am a woman and you are worse than me. lol. Tet's fake 40 time didn't rocket him up the board. Get a clue.

I know your post is not directed toward me but…Respectfully, you have no idea what Vrabel is thinking or taking. Vrabel also said in an interview at the combine that having a big bodied number 1 WR on the outside is very important for a young developing qb.

You really think Vrabel would pass on WR at 4 if Hunter were there?

Also taking a left tackle at 4 with a wingspan under 33” would be catastrophic

Wait a minute. Do you stop and listen to what Vrabel actually says and then watch what the team does? This may sound novel, but when Vrabel was hired he said he was fixing the trenches and establish a running game. I know that is what he was thinking because that is what he said. Now, you can ignore that all you want, but I think he actually meant it. So yes, in that manner, I do know what Vrabel is thinking.

I understand a WR1 is important for Drake, but but this draft is poor. The value is later on in rounds 2-3. T-Mac will not be the superstar. No, Vrabel will not pass on Hunter if he drops to 4. I have said that in all of my posts. You take the best playing in the draft if he falls to 4. Or you take Carter if he falls. If they don't, you seek to trade down a few spots and elect Campbell. If no one will trade, select Campbell.

No, it would not be catastrophic. That is nothing but drama queen crap. You act like he is the second coming of Vederian Lowe. That is foolishness. Campbell is an excellent lineman with great size and technique. He is an instant upgrade over Lowe. Will he struggle with longer armed pass rushers? Yes, he probably will, but Lowe struggles with every frikin pass rusher and is a PFF grade of 54. His run blocking was 45.8.

Then there are those that say Campbell will be just like Joe Thuney in the Superbowl who got exposed against Josh Sweat. Stop and think about that for a moment. Thuney got the Chiefs to the Superbowl at LT. He was a 90.4 PFF grade at guard. Over the first 14 weeks of the season, Cheif left tackles combined to earn a 47.9 PFF overall grade, which ranked 31st in the NFL. In comes Joe Thuney. In the AFC Championship game, Thuney earned a 73.2 PFF overall grade and an 89.2 PFF pass-blocking grade after he did not allow a single pressure against the Bills at LT. Going against the best team in the league in the SB showed that Thuney is a guard, but it took the best team in the league to expose him. He killed the Bills at left tackle and was successful in the playoffs.

Here is the point. Thuney is a guard, and rated at 90.4. The Patriots have one of the worst O-lines in the league. Campbell would be a massive upgrade at LT or LG. There is nothing catastrophic about upgrading Lowe. Draft a more prototypical LT and let him develop while it is determined if Campbell can play LT. He is still a major upgrade over Lowe. We don't play the Eagles every week. If Campbell can't handle it, let the drafted LT have his shot by mid-season and put Campbell at LG. A line of Ozzy Trapilo, Willl Campbell, Garrett Bradbury, Mike Owenu, and Morgan Moses is not a bad line at all for 2024. Center would need to be upgraded. We have the draft pics to do that too.

So put the drama away and have a logical convo. Regardless of what you claim, Campbell is the best o-lineman in the draft. He will always be better than Lowe and fine more the majority of games at LT. A team needs two LT in this league. Take a shot a second one in round 3.

I see you've met the local "gotta have a WR" corps.

What the heck are you even talking about? I said nothing like that. Do you even read posts before you reply or do you just randomly reply nonsense to random posts? A said you take Carter or Hunter at 4 if they are available as the best players in the draft. The total rest of my post was about the offensive line.

If we were picking at 14 instead of 4, I would be more inclined to agree with you. The 4th overall pick should net (according to Scar himself) a player who can sack the QB or a player who can score touchdowns. You don’t reach on a player because you couldn’t find a trading partner. Secondly, you don’t reach 4th overall on a player that has a low ceiling at left tackle. There hasn’t been a starting left tackle this century with a wingspan as short as Campbell’s. If you are locked in on the position, left tackle, as a necessity if Carter and Hunter are gone…to me Campbell isn’t the choice. You have to seriously consider Membou or Simmons instead.

Even if Hunter and Carter are gone at 4 and there is no trading partner...I think you stick with the philosophy of getting a player who can sack the QB or score touchdowns. Which means your big board should be Mason Graham, Ashton Jeanty, and then T-Mac. You then trade back up in the first round to draft a bonafide left tackle or grab one early in round 2.

And yes, I’ve listened to everything Vrabel has said. Sounds like you didn’t because you missed the part about him going into detail the importance of a WR1 for a young developing QB. Vrabel will build the trenches but if you think he’s not going to take advantage of our best asset (Maye), then you don’t know him very well.

Scuba Steve forgot his meds today. Forgive him.

He said that YOU met the local gotta have a WR crew. He was referring to you responding to the guy that wants a WR at all costs. At least that is how I took it

Should I repeat what I said about being a careful? Nah, nobody reads my posts.
What about being careful? I may have read it but do not remember the proceed with caution warning.

This place is going to go ape sh*t if we draft him isn't it? It's very simple. He's a highly productive WR with excellent body control who makes some outstanding catches. No he's not the next coming of Julio jones, but that person doesn't exist in this draft so that's irrelevant. He's not the next coming of N'Keal Harry either. He's probably going to be good for 1,000 yards and 5 or more TDs per season from year 2 and be a quality starter for us for years to come. Everyone needs to calm down.

Nah. If he isn't a knucklehead then he'll be ok. 9-12 range would be better but if #4, whattya going to do.
