I know! And it still makes no sense what you wrote.

How does "its a passing league" address any of the issues that were specific to our offense in this game. We could not move the ball using three downs throughout the entire game.

Given the circumstances it was a fine call to kick and bet on your D giving the O good field position. Even if the idiots in the media dont frame it that way because they have hard-ons for those meaningless historic statistics and fake controversies.

Again the D held the Jets to under 40 yards in Q4. It was a fine call that would have made BB look like a genius if Butler's OPI doesnt happen.

You're grasping at straws. I would always put it in the hands of Tom Brady. It's late in the game, the D tires out. It goes both ways. Our secondary is banged up. This league has made it easier for the passing game to be successful. I would have been fine if they stopped us first then got it back and kicked a FG to win it cause at least Brady had a shot. As it was, he had no guarantee that he was going to touch the ball in OT.

You're posts are getting more and more ridiculous. The league has made it easier for the passing game to be successful, but the Patriots passing game couldn't even tally 14 points today...

Think first. Then post.

You completely neglect to mention the fact that the defense was absolutely owning the Jets offense late in the game. Spare me your illogical stupid statements.

In fact you're the dumbass that tried to say BB owes his legacy to Tom Brady. You're a chicken little **** that will not be around when the Patriots win their next game. I guarantee it.

Just reading your posts, it looks like it really bothers you since you keep bringing it up. Go get a hug from somebody. Or better yet, go get laid.

Thanks for the tip. I took your advice and just got up off your moms...and you know what she told me clutching my leg as I tried to get out the trailer screen door? You ain't even her kid! Heh...yeah, she picked you up at a gas station in a trash bin...with the tag "Found On Road Dumb"...no wonder you think being on vacation is sitting in the Molly Pitcher rest stop on the Jersey Pike hitting refresh on your cracked screen cell phone.

You're using a small sample size, it's like saying David Ortiz is 0 for 3 today so you might as well pinch hit for him in the 9th. I like the Ball in Brady's hands in clutch situations. Always.

Taking the ball out of Brady's hands in OT is kinda like pinch hitting for Ortiz in the 9th. It's ********.

Been very conservative lately...but can you blame them with a OL in trouble and had NO WRs today?

How many times have there been where the Pats were running circles around a team the 1st half but got shut down the 2nd half? 1 half or 1 quarter doesn't correlate to success in another frame of the game.

I'm not using any sort of small sample size. I'm using the entirety of the game and applying logic and reason to the combination of general rules/trends and specific instances. In other words, I'm using context.

You, on the other hand, are posting by nothing more than reflex right now, completely absent of thought. Be better than that.

The Patriots will start off leading Miami 14 to 0. Then, Ebner will drop kick the ball out of
bounds and Miami will score 49 unanswered points. Final score 49 to 14.
And you will change your depends?

Trend isn't always your friend my friend. The trend that you used in the 4th quarter didn't exactly continue on it's path did it? In other words, you used a short term trend instead of the totality of the trend.

Trend isn't always your friend my friend.

I never said it was.

The trend that you used in the 4th quarter didn't exactly continue on it's path did it?

Actually, it did, save for the slight and needless hand tug by Butler.

In other words, you used a short term trend instead of the totality of the trend.

No, in other words, I applied specific to the general, regardless of final outcome. That's what reasoning people do when discussing the choices made in such circumstances.

I never like leaving drives and possible points on the field. If it were up to me I would try to score every possession, I don't care if it's 10 seconds, anything can happen.

You don't even watch the games. Under normal circumstances (e.g. When the team isn't decimated by injuries) the Patriots are one of if not the best team at making second half adjustments. So your little question is utterly ******ed. The Patriots were absolutely killing the Jets offense late in the game and the Patriots' decimated offense was struggling all game against one of the top defenses in the league. Kicking the ball first to try and set up your offense so they only need three points to win the game is the logical thing to do.

You are by far the dumbest person in this thread.

Look, Fitzpatrick is having the best year of his career. He's got good receivers. He's been on a hell of a hot streak. His last 4 games coming into this match consisted of 10 td's to 1 int. He's on fire right now. To me this is an intermediate trend where he has excelled. Through 4 quarters he had a couple of td's and put together some nice drives. Giving him the ball at the beginning of OT after winning the coin toss is like a guy loading up a six shot revolver with 5 bullets and playing Russian roulette.

Give the ball to your GOAT quarterback in that situation and let it play out. This isn't rocket science.

The '13 World Series doesn't happen if Deus' logic would have been applied. You give the ball to Brady no matter what. Look what they did in the snow at the end of the game in Denver. Without Gronk.

glm, in his defense he dosent have time to watch the game with those "rockin" vacations with all that great food.

Let's try to get this through to you one final time, since you seem impervious to logic, and I've got better things to do than continue this with someone who can't be bothered to think:

I, personally, would have taken the ball, for basically the same reason you mention in your second to last sentence: I want the ball in Brady's hands at the start of damn near every OT scenario. However, I'm capable of acknowledging that my personal preference doesn't mean that the decision to kick off was a ridiculous decision under the circumstances. The argument for kicking off has a lot of merit to it, despite my preference, and yours, for a different decision.

There is a significant difference in degree between disagreeing with a decision and calling a decision crazy, ridiculous, stupid, etc...

Also, anyone who disagrees with you on this is actually agreeing with Dungy. Let that sit in. Rodney said give to to TB.
