Last season I really wanted to like Sony Michel but nothing really seemed to stick out to me about him.

He had:
Pretty good speed.
Pretty good agility.
Pretty good power.
Pretty good acceleration.
Pretty good hands.
Pretty good at breaking tackles.

How was this guy doing much better than just pretty good?

Answer: Exceptional vision.

He always seems to take the most efficient and optimal path to get the most amount of yardage given his physical ability. Here's a great video to see if you agree.

I am hoping to see more explosion from him and I’m hoping he enters the season fully healthy but the knee looks like it will be a chronic issue. He was a good runner last year and I would like to see him add something in the passing game and show some burst.

I was hoping he might show some breakaway speed based upon his time at Georgia but that never happened. Still more than efficient overall.

Hopefully his scope and time with Yoko Guerrero helps him regain that explosiveness.

missed TC and was injured again. you saw after bye week that he went from like 80% to 90% but still not quiet there.

When you win a Super Bowl greatly aided by a draft pick you already struck gold. I expect him to have some really good games and casual in others where we can spare him. So he's likely never to be a star ... more lunch pail and that will be fine. He's not a 4.4 burner ... never expected it. More highly intelligent, great balance and awareness and strength player.

I didn't notice any 10% increase in his breakaway speed during the season. Defenders always seem to catch up to him in the open field.

well yeah because he runs 4.57. He did have more 10-15 yard runs post bye though

still think he is going to put up numbers this year. 1,200 and 10 TDs or so. Ground and pound baby.

Pats stable of RB's could be top of the NFL this season if healthy......

They will open up the field for TB to do his magic with his recievers....

Should be a fun team to watch..

Sony, Harris, White and Burkhead. I do think we need a TE. A run blocking TE that is

This is the difference between a successful RB and Laurence Maroney. He had a ton of talent, but his vision was frustratingly bad.

I’ve never seen a RB run into so many piles when he had opportunities to bounce it to the outside and he pioneered dancing in the backfield.

If he stays healthy, Sony will easily rush for 1,200+ yards and 10+ TD’s.

It's a universal law that a Patriots draft choice will always turn out completely inverse to the fan/pundit reaction when he's picked.

Thank you, Jane.
