my first patriots 2 round mock

i believe BB will surprise us in this draft and i think this is the way its gunna go down.

1. Jerry Hughes (we trade down in order to get him and maybe a 3 rnd pick)

Hes a proven college player and has produced well just that hes like 1 inch short of BB's typical OLB

2. Jahvid Best

Hes a great player and very versatile a lil injury prone but i think hes worth the risk

3. Damian Williams

Hes a very polished wide reciever and is a good character guy who can run very good routes and i think a steal in the second

4. Tyson Alualu

Im not sure he will fall this far but if he does i have a feeling the patriots snatch him up and let him anchor opposite Ty Warren

Pretty much identical to my first 4 picks but I have them taking Brandon Graham with the 1st pick. But that list looks really good.

I like Hughes a lot but he's about 3 inches short of Belichick's prototype, he's under 6'2". His arms are also a little short though not as short as Graham's. At the end of the day I just don't see us taking him but he has a lot going for him. I'm fine with the rest except I think Alualu will go higher and I would take a different WR (Benn or Decker) but that's more personal preference.

Based on youtube clips, my favorite olbs have been jerry hughes and jason worilds and you have us getting one of them. This mock is too good to be true so it probably wont happen. I would keep everything except the last 2nd rnd pick. I have no problem with alualu, but i would take navorro bowman if he is still around and plug him in at ilb.

Best is a great player but concussions are scary. Having had multiple concussions myself its seems to be something that develops into a chronic problem, ask Al Toon if you don't believe me.

It's a good list, but there's no reason whatsoever why we should be taking a RB in the second round. It's not as glaring a need as others and we can get good value in the later rounds.

I would be insanely delighted with that draft. Jerry Hughes will go in the late 20s/early 30s if we don't take him at 22, so a trade down is risky - I've argued in favour of taking him at 22 anyway. I like Brandon Graham but I think he goes before 22 to a team like the Falcons.

I think Tyson Alualu is gone before 53 as well, goes in the late 30s/early 40s I expect. I probably take him at 44 instead and grab a WR later.

Best player available, filling a position of improvement. Like drafting Pouncey, but a 2nd round pick instead.
