Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

If that's your reasoning, I can see there is no point in discussing it. So I won't. Goodbye.
Right because we don't want to discuss facts or anything like that.

Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

No M. Pryor? I have him adead of G. Warren. We need one young dt don't we? I don't see Brace or Deaderick making it. I feel we over-rate E. Moore a bit since he was on the team last year. Mark Anderson has a much more accomplished career and can get after the qb. I see him beating out Mr. Moore. Other than those 2 agree with everything else. I think we have 15 guys up front. And 10 db's .

IMO Pryor and Love will make the final 53

Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

I had A. Carter starting in previous post in this thread. Mike Wright played NG last year when BB moved Wilfork to LDE a couple of times.
Warren played NT when Wilfork moved to DE.

I know he's not good vs the run. But, he can't set the edge as a 4-3 end either. A situational pass-rusher from the DT position.
There is an OLB to 'set the edge'. I see Wright as the backup to Ellis if we play a 43.

Luv ya Andy. But, come on man!! We have 22 bleepin defensive linemen in camp. And about 6-7 lb's with NFL experience. Do the math!! We're a 4-3 team on 1st down. Then, 4-2-5. We could play 4-2-5 against some times on 1st down if we think we can stop their running game like; SD, Indy and Philly.
I disagree.
The 34 would line up this way:

DE Haynesworth, Ellis, Brace, Wright, Warren,Deaderick....anyone else you think would make the team
NT Wilfork, Warren,Love, Brace, Haynesworth
OLB Cunnigham, Ninkovich, Carter, Moore

Personellwise there is no difference between the 34 we play and the 43 we play (as players and BB have been saying). Call one player an OLB and its a 34, call him a DE and its a 43. Its the same guy (and the same other 6) in either case.

I've said all along I don't much care whether we line up 34 or 43, because its the same personell, and a slightly different alignment.

Anyone suggesting we are moving to a one gap 43 with 2 260lb DEs is going to be surprised when we play games for real.

Brace not makng it? Based on what? His play on the field has been far better than Pryor.

Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

Brace and Deaderick are on PUP and could stay that way.

Since the pats typically keep about 7 DL and 8 LB, they could easily keep 10 DL and 5 LB, especially with Cunningham and Moore about to play LB in the event of injuries.

WOW!

I have Brace and Anderson fighting it our for the last DL roster spot.

RETURNING (2)
Wilfork, G. Warren

OUT
Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love

IN (4)
Wright, Haynsworth, Ellis, A. Carter

Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

We don't disagree on much.

A) I have included both Pryor and Warren so that is not a disagreement.
B) I also agree that Brace and Deaderick are currently unlikely to be on the starting 53. I have both starting the season on the PUP list.
C) I do have Moore over Anderson. I'm fine with either winning the competition for a spot.

For conveneince, I have repeated my roster below.
============
I too have 9-10 roster spots in the secondary.

The PROJECTED 15 FRONT SEVEN PLAYERS AS OF AUGUST 11
==============
ILB (4) Mayo, Spikes, Guyton, Fletcher
LB/ST (1) White
DE/OLB (5) Ellis, Carter, Cunningham, Moore, Ninkovich
DT (5) Wilfork, Haynsworth, Wright, Warren, Pryor
PUP (2) Brace, Deaderick
OUT/PS Love, M. Carter, Murrell, Anderson, Richard, Weston

Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

Maybe it's just me, but it strikes me as rude ~ to say nothing of backwards and bizarre ~ to put your response AHEAD of the quote you're responding to.

Forgive me if I'm regurgitating an old subject that's been brought up 100's of times before my arrival, here...But it just seems like VERY strange behavior...and I'm absolutely confounded as to why you do it.

always thought it was me who felt this way ...

Thanks, Bro.

Not PICKING on Teich...

But it IS rude to place your own words above the quote you're responding to...and it's confusing, as well.

And you actually have to go to extra trouble to do so.

VERY odd behavior.

Oh, well. No big deal.

Just thought I'd let him know how it comes across.

I personally never really thought much about it - but it would never occur to me to consider it "rude". Not sure where that interpretation came from.

Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

Right because we don't want to discuss facts or anything like that.

Facts are fine. It's your opinions that I don't want to get into. I base my opinion on one thing, you base yours on something else. No amount of discussion is going to change either of our opinions since we arrive at them differently and weigh facts differently.

Re: Murrell, Cohen, Pryor, Deaderick and Love !!

I am anticipating 9 DB, 4 ILB leaving 12 spots for ST & DL/OLB. Some of the decisions on who in the DL they can get onto the PS. I think BB wants the best line for this year but won't just get rid of players who could be part valuable parts of the rotation in the future.

The competition on the DL this year is amazing.

This is a good point. Moore is more of a 1st/2nd down player. I think he's very close to Cunningham and will end up behind Cunningham and Ellis on the depth chart. Anderson is purely a 3rd down pass rusher. If he makes the team, hopefully he will be better than Burgess.
