Multiple teams have expressed interest in trading for Dion Lewis

Foster has had two seasons worth of OTAs, two camps, and spent all but six days of the 2016 season on the 53-man. That's a lot of reps, and he's still getting reps, at least as part of the PS/scout team. Seems reasonable to assume that the Pats know what they have with him.

How they value Foster vis-a-vis Lewis is an open question for which we'll have to wait for an answer. If Lewis stays a couple more weeks and plays a bigger role than he did in the opener and Foster stays on the PS, we'll be a little closer to that answer.

It's possible that the Pats have been listening to the (alleged) offers for Lewis and simply haven't heard or chosen an acceptable one yet. And I think it's premature to read much into Foster being risked on waivers since they did the same with Karras and, voila!, he's back.
Or we can just watch Foster drift away to the Cards for nothing in return. That's another option, too.

That makes five of the Pats' players from camp now on the active rosters of other teams, plus two more on practice squads elsewhere. Seven players out of the 23 who were waived outright (not injured).

I don't know if you heard, but this team is full of bad players.

"Bad"? Oh, crap! I've been reading that as "bald", and thinking, "What's the big deal? It'll grow back!"

Really enjoyed this podcast. Some compelling points..... but made prior to AZ signing DJ Foster, which would have cushioned a trade move involving Lewis.

Only tangentially related, perhaps - Danny Woodhead's hamstring injury on Sunday is now expected to keep him out 4-6 weeks, so the Ravens may now be looking for scat-back/receiver type help.

Just speculating that they might have made a move for Foster if he hadn't already gone to ARZ, though it's entirely possible that Foster would have told them to go suck an egg.
