25. New York Jets: Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU
26. Philadelphia Eagles: Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
27. New Orleans Saints: Daymeion Hughes, CB, California
28. New England Patriots: *Anthony Gonzalez, WR, Ohio St.
29. Baltimore Ravens: Anthony Spencer, DE, Purdue

31. Chicago Bears: *Greg Olsen, TE, Miami (Fla)
32. Indianapolis Colts: Tank Tyler, DT, NC St.

I have learned to expect the unexpected with the Patriots drafting but I agree with you if Willis is still on the board I don't think the Pats would pass him twice.

Surprisingly, Mel picked a couple guys who would fit in with the Patriots. Willis replaces Donnie Edwards for San Diego, they run the 3-4 much differently than BB does so he is a better match with their defense.

LB were in abundance last year either when we picked (D'Quell Jackson, Demaco Ryans, both of who I think could have played in the 3-4 and Manny Lawson for the outside) and others for reasonable trade ups (Greenway, Carpenter) and we did nothing.

I can't say I expect LB to be passed over again - but I'll believe we take one when I see it.

Gonzalez is one of a handful of WR prospects I like. But I think BB would go for Spencer instead. And with both Revis and Spencer -- I'd grade round one an A!

I agree. We've certainly been talking LB since we traded up for Harris and picked Graham instead. Ironically, we might sign Harris and not be able to sign Graham.

I would be happy with Kiper's choices.

i dont like the gonzalez pick in the first...
the only WR i want in the first is Ginn, Jarratt, Johnson....MAYBE bowe with the last pick i know all three of those are stretches thats why im saying that..
if we had to take a receiver in the 1st i want it to be bowe (realistically, we have no chance at the other three really). I say beef up the defense in the first, then get a good value WR with the 2nd or 3rd rounder... Even more then a WR i would like leonard from rutgers..

I think I would actually cry if we blow a 1st round pick on Gonzalez!

I'm not sold on Ginn either, Johnson is an outstanding talent and maybe worth both 1st rd picks, but any of WR can wait until the second round.

Thats how I felt last year. I didn't want our first and second go to offense with the LB talent that was there last year. There were several LB's that fit our system available and we took a RB and WR. Neither of which made the impact needed from picks that high.

Nothing will surprise me this year. AS much as I cant abide drafting a WR higher than 3rd round, a WR may go to us in the first. The Tuna used to draft O line, D line, and LB's with his first, alot. I liked that style.

I'd be more happy with Willis at 24. I like the Gonzalez pick a lot.

I am extremely happy with the Revis pick. I think he has a legitimate chance to start for us as a rookie, provided he has half a brain and he runs a decent 40.
Fluid hips, decent back pedal, fairly physical on running plays and above average ball skills.

I really can't see Gonzalez, whom I consider more of a complimentary receiver being taken in the first round, but he does have a bunch of the qualities that BB looks for in a WR.

Two areas I really feel need an upgrade is a pure pass rushing OLB/Elephant backer and a ball hawking FS.
