As a minor quibble, I'd say that it's Warren-Wilfork-Pryor/Wright, with no clear starter among the latter two (Wright did play close to twice the number of snaps).

Have no problem with that. I see Wright's role primarily when the Pats are in sub packages, so I was hesitant to call him the base 3-4 starter since that would effectively make him an every down guy. Really doesn't change my point since I would like to see both Pryor and Wright as situational guys / spot starters.

I thought both Pryor and Wright did very well in their roles last year. Getting someone that allows them to stay in those roles (maybe more snaps, but not new responsibilities) is a good thing. So in my mind, the Pats are set at 4 of the 6 DL positions. If Brace develops in year 2, it can be 5 of 6. That is why I'm more inclined to go with an evolutionary approach with Odrick than a revolutionary approach with Cody/Wilfork to DE.

Why? Because some MMA Chump who has shown extremely questionable football information says so?

I have news for you. WIlfork has already played DE in the 3-4 for the Pats... In several games.

On your period again? Why the **** would we pay wilfork the money he's asking just to move him to DE? It's a stupid fcking idea. "Lets draft a rookie to play NT (even though we drafted one in the second last season) and pay Wilfork to be a DE even though we had a pro bowl DE and traded him away.

Have to agree with you on that post. Cody and Wilfork change the opponents running philosophy against the Pats. Third and long you can bring in a package. We have done that for years. What is the big deal.

Correct. They will just run a spread on 1st and 2nd down until the DL is gassed. Second half, they can bring in a package of draws/screens. The Colts have done that for years. What is the big deal?

The open question is the future of Wilfork. As was the case last year, we need to consider life without Wilfork. Personally I expect him to be extended before the draft or traded. I don't expect him the patriots to keep an unhappy rent-a-player who will likely not be available for any of the camps. Either Wilfork is part of the future or not.

That being said, I don't know how Belichick feel about Brace and Pryor in the middle. I would presume that we will need a Cody or Williams to add to the mix.

I'm fine with Williams in the 1st or Cody in the 2nd. I'm even OK with waiting if Belichick is ready to start Brace or Pryor.

BOTTOM LINE
For me, I have no interest in Williams or Cody if Wilfork is staying. I am fine with Warren, Wilfork, Wright/Pryor as aour base line with two additional players to replace Burgess and Green in their roles. There are better uses foir the draft picks than a 4th NT.

We had three players in 2009 who may or may not be replaced: Wilfork, Burgess and Green.

No way BB drafts an immature, grossly obese, 2 down DT with 2 years experience and suspect intelligence in the first round.

His physique shows that he's never lifted weights in his life. He's deperately in need of breast reduction and that alone would knock about 10 pounds off of him.

Lindval Jospeh in the 3rd would be a much better pick.

I was the guy who said Dunlap was no good. Now that is accepted opinion. Guy doesn't show up on the field then passes out drunk at a stop sign 4 days before teh championship game. And some here thought he'd be the magical "elephant" we've been missing since McGinnest left. LOL.

Weighed in at 354 and put up 44 reps.

BB please draft this kid at #22 and plug him in at NT. He will improve our run defense immediately and make the ILB's that much better.

Steps
1) Sign Marcus Spears (he is an RFA, not sure if he has been tendered)
2) Trade Wilfork, draft McClain
3) Draft Cody

Plus they usual, sign Peppers and trade for Marshall, etc.
