I must have misunderstood the guy in the Newsroom.

The incident must have happened on January 6, 2008, but a restraining order wasn't filed until Monday, January 14, 2008. He specifically said that it (must have meant the incident and not the filing) coincided with the Patriots open week.

Dude, if you paid attention and read the thread - - I locked it originally out of suspicion of hoax. I followed up and got on the radio station link and heard the audio report. I then reopened it.

This stuff isn't hard to find, if anyone's a member of the bar in Florida, you could read the entire case file on that website. Randy's middle name is Gene so unless its a crazy coincidence sounds like its true. Looks like it was filed yesterday also, which means it hasn't been floating around for a week or so.

Randy's middle name is Gene so unless its a crazy coincidence sounds like its true. Looks like it was filed yesterday also, which means it hasn't been floating around for a week or so.

I'm not doubting the veracity of your claim to have heard the story. What I am questioning--as are a lot of other people here--is whether or not there is a story here. Again, as others have noted, the existence of a TRO does not mean that Moss has actually done anything at all. For all we know, this woman is (à la Crystal Gail Mangum) completely off her rocker.

Earlier, others were saying I had no credibility and that no major outlet was running with it so it couldn't be true. That who I'm upset at. They know who they are. The legitimacy of the restraining order is a whole other deal.

This not a big deal, it's not going to effect the team, in all seriousness, this is minor considering what this teams been through this year. Now if Randy Moss best the hell out of some woman, that's way different, but since the police are not involved, it's safe to assume he didn't assult her enough for the cops to press charges. There too many missing details, like what happened, what type person is she ? You know his lawyer is going to try and reschedule the hearing until after the Superbowl, he has good reason I would think.
