None of them has installed it midseason. The primary barrier to a quick installation would be weather. The Gillette grass needs to be torn up and the field graded before the turf can be laid down. The process can take two months or two weeks, depending on manpower, event schedules and other factors.

So a minimum of 2 weeks is required to install (if you are lucky) and 3-4 would be safer to ensure it is done before the fans come into the stadium expecting to see football.

I don't see a 3 week time in schedule free until the break between week 15 and the Div Champs weekend and that only works if we earn a bye.

I'm very sceptical field turf can be laid this season.

I don't see it happening this season, that's unheard of. They'll just re-sod.

Maybe that's the idea.. They'll put it in, it won't set, and then it'll end up just as big a mess as the grass was. That way the league and Polian get what they want, as do the Pats? Nah I'm just joking, that's alot of money to spend for an 'FU' to the league office.

I'm a little skeptical, but maybe if they pop on the lights, and have a night crew.........BOOM! Done in a jiffy.

I still prefer grass for avoiding those dreadful leg injuries. The problem is the Kraft's allowed a Stones concert which destroyed the center and end of the field. If the Revolution moves out as planned then grass would be fine.

Field turf! Wait a minute!...i thought we were getting moss!!
